Plegat Lays Down Jacks After Getting a Warning
Kevin Naegelen raised to 12,000 under the gun before Francis Plegat announced a raise and also put in 12,000. Naegelen asked for the floor to come over and explained that this was the second time Plegat had done this at this table.
Plegat insisted he hadn't seen Naegelen's open and had simply made a mistake. The floor gave him a warning that he would receive a one-round penalty if he did it again, and he was forced to make it 18,000. Cedric Schwaederle called in the big blind, as did Naegelen.
All three players checked the 8♣4♠4♣ flop. Schwaederle then led out for 36,000 on the 2♦ turn and Naegelen folded. "This is my contribution," Plegat said as he quickly tossed J♥J♠ into the muck.
"You don't look like a man who would do that on purpose," tablemate Kayhan Mokri told him.
