Corbelli Picks Off Zhao on the River

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

"Don't tell me what to do. It's very rude. If I want to make two pair, then I'll make two pair," Alex Keating joked with tablemate Alexandros Michas.

"He didn't come all the way to Paris just to make one pair," Alec Torelli added.

Meanwhile, Loris Corbelli had opened to 4,000 in middle position and Cheng Zhao called.

The flop came 1076 and Corbelli continued for 5,000. Zhao called, and they both checked the K turn.

Zhao also checked the 3 river, and Corbelli bet 7,500. Zhao then raised to 30,500, and Corbelli called.

Zhao showed 87 for a pair of sevens, but Corbelli turned over QQ to win the pot.

His Heating Up as Lebedev Heads to the Exit

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Sergey Lebedev and Mathieu His had gathered 55,000 in the blinds preflop. Lebedev then fired bets of 15,000 on the KQ3 flop and 50,000 on the 2 turn, both of which His called.

Lebedev moved all in for roughly 65,000 on the J river, only to be snapped off by His.

Lebedev stood up as he tabled J8 for a rivered pair, but His had been ahead all the way with KQ for two pair and eliminated his neighbor from the EPT Paris Main Event.

Bergin Has Excellent Timing; Docherty Flips Out Khorchidian

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Maria Konnikova moved all in from the button and Gergo Szabo called for his last 15,000 in the small blind. Conor Bergin in the big blind took a peek at his cards, then snap-called for 35,000.

Gergo Szabo: 1010 All in
Conor Bergin: AA All in
Maria Konnikova: A8

Bergin had woken up with two aces, and the 98556 board kept him in the lead as he scooped the pot to earn a double up off Konnikova and send Szabo to the rail.

"Half an hour ago he had 1K," a dealer watching the table said.

At another table, Nichan Khorchidian had shoved for 30,000 from the button and David Docherty put him at risk in the big blind.

Nichan Khorchidian: KQ All in
David Docherty: 55

Khorchidian needed to win the flip to stay alive, but he couldn't connect with the 388J8 board as Docherty secured the knockout.

Malaurie Hits the Turn in Three-Way Pot

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Three players went to a flop of AQ4 when Tomas Jozonis bet 4,000 from the hijack. Pierre-Antoine Quignard called in the cutoff, as did Christophe Malaurie in middle position.

The turn was the 6 and action checked around to Quignard, who bet 13,000. Only Malaurie called.

Quignard bet another 10,000 on the K river, but Malaurie instantly tossed in a raise to 20,000. Quignard called, and Malaurie showed him 66 for a set to win the pot.

Guilleminot Spikes Ace to Knock Two Out

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Toni Kaukua was down to 16,500 chips, which he shoved in as first to act. Clement Guilleminot was in the next seat over, and three-bet jammed for 119,500.

It then folded to Tom Napoly in the small blind, who asked for a count before calling, putting himself at risk for 112,000.

Toni Kaukua: KQ All in
Tom Napoly: KK All in
Clement Guilleminot: AK

Kaukua and Guilleminot were in bad shape against the kings of Napoly, but Guilleminot hit an ace on the 8AQ flop for a huge lead. The 10 turn brought some chop outs, but the 6 river blanked.

Guilleminot's top pair knocked out both opponents, causing him to cross 100 big blinds in chips.

Razvan Scutaru: AJ All in
Guillaume Genin: AA All in
Javier Tazon: 88

"Flush" Scutaro pleaded, but it was Genin who ended up making a flush on the Q523K board to scoop the pot. He doubled up off Tazon, while Scutaru was sent to the rail.

Gutierrez Gone After Cooler Flop

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Elias Gutierrez
Elias Gutierrez

Elias Gutierrez and Gael Djenkal were heads up on the 1086 flop. Gutierrez flicked in a bet of 10,000, which Djenkal raised to 25,000.

Gutierrez retaliated with a three-bet to 70,000, after which Djenkal moved all in. Gutierrez's stack of 150,000 was covered, and he snap-called for his tournament life.

Elias Gutierrez: 88 All in
Gael Djenkal: 97

Gutierrez had run his set into the straight of Djenkal. The 9 turn brought some chop outs, but Gutierrez was officially eliminated once the K hit the river.

The PokerStars Ambassador quietly took his leave, seeing Djenkal chip up to a stack of over 200 big blinds.
