Day 1b is a Wrap
Amongst some of the notable Day 1b names still alive in the field are Annette Obrestad, Thor Hansen, Liam Flood, Luca Pagano, Surinder Sunar, Katja Thater and Juha Helppi. Despite the large contingent of A-list pros who came out to play on Day 1b, it was Ludovic Lacay who stole the show, amassing a field-leading stack with his super aggressive strategy. We’ll post the official chip counts after the tournament staff bags up all of the chips and ships the counts our way.
Players will redraw new seats for Day 2 and we’re told play will be eight-handed to start the day. The total prizepool for the event came out to be €1,701,700 (approximately $2.45 million USD). Join us at 2:00 p.m. local time for our continued coverage of the PokerStars.com EPT Dublin as we play down to 24 players. Until then, good luck and good night from Dublin!
