Dinner is Served and Mikkelsen Hits the Front

The players are being served dinner at the table, I will try to resist using the chips with everything joke, but I will fail! Soren Konsgaard has just been eliminated, all in preflop AA Vs KK, Konsgaard held the kings to Dag Mikkelsen's aces and could not improve. Mikkelsen is now sitting on 40,000 and is chip leader.

Danish star Martin Wendt just made the call of the tournament so far.

Jeff Lisandro limped in on the button for 150 and Wendt completed the small blind. The player in the big blind made it 550 more and only Wendt called.

The flop came {Q-Hearts}

and both players checked.

Turn: {J-Clubs}

and the big blind bet 1100. Wendt called.

River {7-Diamonds}

and Wendt check-calls another 1750 with {4-Spades}

, just bottom pair which was good enough against his opponent's unimproved {A-Clubs}

.

Wendt then apologized and blamed the Internet for his being a calling station.

Opponent checks and Lisandro bets, Opponent dwells up for an age, then calls. Lisandro shows {9-Hearts}

....it's turning out to be an awful day for the Irish as both Roy Brindley and Eoghan Lyons have taken early baths. Brindley exited at the hand of Age Spets.

Lyons decided to make a stand with a Jack high flush draw and walked into an Ace high flush draw. Whoops!

Slowplay, No Pay

Mark Vos just lost a substantial chunk of his chips but still appears to have close to his starting stack.

Three-way action. The flop was {Q-Clubs}

and everyone checked. Then a lot chips flew into the middle when a {9-Diamonds}

came on the turn.

{Q-Hearts}

for Vos

for Scott Fischman.

Apparently the third player in the hand also folded a weaker queen.

This is turning out to be an interesting table with The DevilFish and Mats Iremark now sitting on Vos' right.
