Quoss Can't Beat Sevens

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

We missed the pre flop action, but the pot was already pretty decent when Lodden bet out 3,500 from the small blind on {5-Clubs}{J-Spades}{K-Spades}. Fabian Quoss in the cut off made the call in position.

Both players tapped the table on the {3-Hearts}-turn and {K-Clubs}-river.

Lodden showed his hand first: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}, and Quos quietly mucked.

Jones the Third comes Second

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Noomis Jones III has been eliminated, he squeezed all in after a raise and call. The initial raiser folded and Mat Frankland, who had just call, quickly did again.

Jones: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Frankland {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The board came {K-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{K-Spades} as Frankland dodged a whole heap of outs to eliminate his rival.

Katchalov Flops Trips

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} flop, Eugene Katchalov checked to the player under the gun plus one. That player bet 2,300 and Martin Jacobson on the button, and Eugene Katchalov in the big blind made the call.

All three players checked once the {10-Spades} hit, and the river came the {J-Clubs}. Katchalov bet out 4,000 with just 4,000 behind, and the player who bet out on the flop made the call, Jacobson folded.

Katchalov showed {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, and his opponent angrily mucked.

Boatman Flats Five-Bet

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Denys Chufarin in the big blind three-bet an open from Barny Boatman who responded with a four-bet. Chufarin wasn’t satisfied with that and promptly five-bet to 4,600. Boatman gave his opponent a quick stare before making the call from his stack of 18,000.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and it took a short while before Chufarin check-folded to a bet of 4,000 from Boatman. “I should have shoved all in.” bemoaned Chufarin. Boatman said he wished he had and went to show his cards but changed his mind. After some back and forth between the table it appeared that Chufarin had folded {a-}{k-} and Boatman had held {a-}{a-}.

Jean-Robert Bellande
Jean-Robert Bellande

It's game over for Jean-Robert Bellande, he held {K-Clubs}{K-Spades} on a {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}{J-Spades}{6-Spades} board but couldn't beat former EPT winner Martin Finger's {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} which had rivered an unlikely straight.

Schemion Dodges Set Trap

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Patrick Coughlin opened the action and called a three-bet from Ole Schemion, sat to his immediate left, of 1,500. They saw a heads-up flop of {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Coughlin checked it to the aggressive Schemion who obliged with a 1,625 bet.

Coughlin made the call and they both went on to check it down on a turn {5-Clubs} and river {9-Spades}. Coughlin exhaled, either in relief or at a possible missed bet, and turned over {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Schemion nodded and mucked.
