Adinolfi Busts His Neighbor

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop, Mario Adinolfi bet out 1,000 from the small blind. His next door neighbor in the big blind pushed all in for over 9,500, and Adinolfi instantly called.

Adinolfi: {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Big blind: {3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The flop had hit both players pretty hard, but Adinolfi needed to improve to eliminate his foe. The {2-Spades} on the turn was a blank, but the {6-Clubs} on the river wasn't and gave the Italian the flush.

The big blind got up from the table, shook hands, and made his way to the exit, while Adinolfi started stacking.

Macho Macho Man

Oleksii Khoroshenin
Oleksii Khoroshenin

Oleksii Khoroshenin, who won EPT Vienna last year, hasn't found everything going his way so far. The Ukrainian fired a bet of 3,600 on {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop with several thousand already in he middle.

Ezequiel Macho moved all in for a total of 25,000, a third player folded and the action was back on Koroshenin. The latter fiddled with his chips for several minutes, looking as though he did not want to fold but eventually he sent his cards into the muck.Koroshenin still has about 35,000 remaining.

Marquez Flops Trips

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Ana Marquez
Ana Marquez

With a board of {8-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, we saw two red 1,000 chips in front of Ana Marquez. We're not sure if it was indeed a bet of 2,000, or that she had announced something between 1,000 and 2,000. In any case, the player in the big blind raised to 4,000, and Marquez made the call after some thinking.

The river came the {2-Diamonds} and Marquez checked. Her neighbor bet out 8,500 and Marquez tossed in the chips to call after again some thinking.

The big blind rolled over {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}, and Marquez showed {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} to take it down.

Marquez drew a tough table today, she'll have to battle with EPT champions Toby Lewis and Mickey Petersen.

Busquet Barrels

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Olivier Busquet - EPT Barcelona Super High Roller Champion 2014
Olivier Busquet - EPT Barcelona Super High Roller Champion 2014

In an interview given to PokerNews after his win in the Super High Roller last night, Olivier Busquet stated that you need a large dose of luck to win a poker tournament and admitted he had run pretty “pure” to take it down. That dose of run good doesn’t seem to have deserted him just yet.

Busquet was in the big blind and led out for 5,000 on the turn of a board reading {j-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}. His opponent made the call and they went to the river which came out the {8-Spades}. A chunky bet of 8,500 was called after a brief deliberation but the pot slid over to Busquet when he showed {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. His opponent winced in apparent disbelief before composing himself and tapping the table in appreciation of the play.

Mizrachi Flushes Chidwick

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

As we approached table 45, Michael Mizrachi just checked from the small blind on {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Stephen Chidwick on the button bet out 800, and Mizrachi check raised to 1,775. Chidwick added the needed 975, and they were of to the turn.

Both players checked once the {4-Clubs} hit, and so the {Q-Hearts} was for free. Mizrachi bet out 3,575, and Chidwick made the call after some thinking.

Mizrachi revealed his flush with {7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, Chidwick mucked.

Former EPT Champ Folds Kings Preflop

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

When we arrived at the table, former European Poker Tour champion Christophe Benzimra was in the tank preflop following an all-in bet from Maximos Pertsinidis for 28,000 and another shove from Tobias Marcus Schwecht for 18,300. Benzimra had some chips in front of him, but the preflop action was unknown.

After a bit of tanking, Benzimra folded the {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. He was right, though, as Schwecht showed the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. Pertsinidis had the {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}, which would've made it even harder to Benzimra to win the hand.

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{K-Spades} and wouldn't you know it, Benzimra would've smashed the river to collect the entire pot and bust two players. Instead, he folded and was left with just over the starting stack.

Hasson Fumes

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Dmitry Yurasov was in the small blind and looking at a flop of {3-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{q-Spades}. The Russian checked it over to his opponent Ori Hasson who bet 6,250. Yurasov made the call and the two players saw the turn card {a-Hearts} arrive. Yurasov checked again and Hasson motioned for him to lift his arms so he could see his remaining stack and he obliged. Information gathered Hason checked again.

The river {9-Hearts} was checked by both players and when Yurasov turned over a winning {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} Hasson threw his head back, eyes rolling towards the heavens and flicked his cards rather too vigorously towards the dealer. He immediately muttered an apology to the dealer but, clearly rattled by something, he got up from his seat to take a few moments to calm down.
