Hajiyev Doubles Through Kipnis

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ramin Hajiyev, everyone's favourite Azerbaijani player, has just managed to double up after pushing with {A-Spades}{9-Hearts} from the cutoff and getting called by Denis Kipnis with {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} in the big blind.

The board came {9-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Hajiyev made the better two pair for the pot.

Sveva Libralesso is one of two women left standing (the other is Karin Bruteig) , and she has just gathered some more chips.

She called Barrie Pietersz with {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, and was up against {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

The board didn't make things exciting with {3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Pietersz made his exit.

The Bubble That Just Wouldn’t Burst. But One To Remember For EPT100

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

The 100th EPT deserved a memorable bubble and EPT Barcelona somehow managed to deliver it; an almost never-ending bubble, which even now it hasn’t finished. It featured six all-ins, The Mob, a guitar, a tournament ticket, and a creative solution to a problem that nobody ever thought existed, as the PokerStars Blog reports.

Finger Loses Flip Shock

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Martin Finger
Martin Finger

It was checked to Martin Finger on a flop of {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and a bet from him of 14,000 took the pot. He indicated that he had it and mentioned folding a previous hand where he had top pair. His neighbour said it must be nice and Finger did not demur.

Finger opened the next hand for 11,000 and called a 58,000 shove from Knut Hatle. Finger had {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and Knut needed to hit with {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. Finger asked jokingly if Knut wanted to take his bet back and chop it up but Knut said he was happy to bust as he wanted to watch Barcelona play football.

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Spades}. The football would have to wait for Knut as for once the Finger magic deserted him.
