Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The flop read {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} when we found Marco Caza and Joao Vieira engaged in the hand. Caza checked over to Vieira and he led at the pot for 42,000. Caza came over the top with a check-raise to 108,000 and Vieira quickly moved forward a call.

The turn was the {7-Spades} and Caza checked for a second time. Vieira took this opportunity to bet 137,000. Caza immediately let go of his cards and Vieira was awarded a pot that brought his stack to 970,000.

Bluffing Lodden

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden opened the action for 13,000 and it folded to Jakub Mroczek who has close to a million chips and is currently in second on the leader board.

Mroczek three-bet Lodden who quickly folded and was shown the {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts} with a shrug. Lodden didn’t look too interested.

Moreira de Melo's Hand Holds Up

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree raised to 13,000 from the cutoff and PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo called from the button. The player in the small blind called before Nicholas Markou moved all in from the big blind for 110,000.

Boeree folded, Moreira de Melo moved all in over the top and the small blind sighed before folding his cards.

Moreira de Melo: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Markou: {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Markou hit the rail.

Killeen Killing It

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Kevin Killeen
Kevin Killeen

Ireland’s Kevin Killeen is accumulating chips at a rate of knots. He had been at risk just before the last break when he three-bet jammed with {9-}{9-} and Kai Herold from Germany tanked before calling with {q-}{q-}. A nine on the turn though saw him double up. Soon after that his {a-}{k-} won a flip against {10-}{10-} and went on to win a big three-bet pot hero calling with sixes on a board reading {k-}{4-}{5-}{4-}{a-}.

With plenty of chips to play with now Killeen opened under the gun for 13,000 and picked up calls from Alexander Trevallion, Herold and Mickey Petersen in the big blind. The flop {5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} was checked around so they saw a free turn card {2-Clubs}. Killeen made it 23,000 and it was Herold who would be the only caller. They both checked the river {5-Hearts} and it was the {q-Spades}{9-Spades} of Killeen that would hold sway.

Contreras Falls to Neumann

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded to Javier Contreras in the small blind and he moved all in for his last roughly 120,000. Marko Neumann looked down at his hole cards in the big blind and quickly announced a call.

Contreras: {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Neumann: {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

Contreras was behind and in need of help heading to the flop. The dealer fanned {2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, keeping Neumann's king-queen high out in front. The {a-Diamonds} hit the turn, meaning Contreras needed a ten on the river in order to stay alive.

The river paired each player's king with the {K-Clubs}, meaning Contreras' tournament had come to an end. He made his way to the rail while Neumann boosted his stack to 340,000.

East on a Tear

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Jareth East
Jareth East

We just noticed an enormous stack in front of Jareth East who's sitting to the right of Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree, and two seats to the right of PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo. While we noticed this East was involved in another pot that played out as following.

The flop showed {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{J-Hearts} when two players checked to East who bet 24,000 and only Nicholad Markou called.

On the turn the {Q-Spades} hit and Markou check-called another 35,000. The river brought the {8-Clubs} and after Markou checked again it was East who decided to move all in.

After about a minute Markou let go of his hand leaving himself with very little chips while East extends his lead to a whopping 1.4 million.

Filatov Filleted

Anatoly Filatov
Anatoly Filatov

Anatoly Filatov's tournament is over. He pushed with {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and was called by Daniel Erlandsson's {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Upon seeing his opponent with a dominating hand, Filatov immediately turned over his eight, knowing that a king was what he really needed.

The board came {4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} and the fast-talking Russian was eliminated.

Filatov Down To One Chip; Survives

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Anatoly Filatov opened the action for 12,000 and, as it folded round to Robert Haigh, Filatov turned to Martijn Ardon and said, “This guy will shove.”

Haigh did move all in for 74,000 and Filatov, who had a little more, said, “Whatever, let’s gamble.” and called.

Filatov had {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} but it wasn’t the flip he was hoping for as Haigh had {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. The cards ran out {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Spades} and with Filatov in the big blind next he was left with 14k behind.

“What can I do? I like to play coin flips?” Filatov said seeking the approval of Chris Moorman and Benny Spindler who both agreed they would probably call in his shoes.

With a raise and two callers in front of him Filatov made the call and left himself with one T1000 chip behind. A flop of {3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} saw Filatov put in the chip. He got just one caller who tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Filatov slammed down his {6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} in mock jubilation. It held on the turn {5-Spades} and river {9-Diamonds} but it looks as if time is running out for the entertaining Russian.
