Emil Patel
Emil Patel

Not too long ago Emil Patel was the shortest stack in the room and one card away from being knocked out by Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand Grospellier. The river bailed Patel out in that coin flip and just now he won another to put himself right back in it.

Patel was all in for 108,000 chips against Allan Andrew Pike and the showdown went as following.

Patel: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Pike: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Patel doubled up once more.

Eight Ball Corner Pocket

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The action folded to Javier Tazon who moved all in from the button for 49,000 after which the action was on Panu Miettinen in the small blind. Miettinen tanked for a little bit before calling and the player in the big blind, Jakub Mroczek, proceeded to move all in over the top.

"Call," Miettinen snapped, as he called within half a second creating a pot worth around 600,000 chips.

Miettinen: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Mroczek: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Tazon: {A-Spades}{2-Spades}

The board ran out {J-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and the river gave Mroczek a set to beat Miettinen's pair of kings. Mroczek is now among the chip leaders while two more players head for the exit.

Boujenah Gets Clubbed by Boeree

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

Benny Spindler opened to 12,000 from under-the-gun and Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree made it 30,000 in middle position. It was passed to Ilan Boujenah who four-bet to 65,000 in the big blind. Spindler tanked for a minute before folding and Boeree made the call to see a {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop.

Boujenah bet 51,000 and Boeree called to see the {J-Clubs} on the turn. The Frenchman tanked for a minute before pushing all in and Boeree did some quick calculations before calling off.

Boujenah: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Boeree: {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Boujenah had to fade an ace, three or club but the river was the {5-Clubs} to make Boeree the nut flush and win the pot.

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Viacheslav Goryachev opened the action and then called an all-in from Allan Andrew Pike. The cards were on their backs and Pike started to shake his head as his {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} was up against {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Pike would continue to shake his head until the river when the final board of {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{q-Clubs} delivered a straight. “Sorry.” said Pike as he had Goryachev just covered to bust him.

Haigh Doubles Through Wood

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Robert Haigh was all in before the flop for his last 44,000 against Christopher Wood. The cards were revealed to find Wood in a commanding position.

Haigh: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Wood: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, giving Haigh four to a flush and several additional outs to stay alive in the Main Event. The deck was on his side, as the {6-Clubs} peeled off on fourth, completing his flush and ensuring his renewed life. The {J-Spades} finished the board and Haigh now has about 100,000 to his name.

Gabel's Queens Fall to Quads

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Vincent Gabel notched up his first European Poker Tour Main Event cash today, but he was unable to mount a comeback after having been short for quite a long time.

Gabel just raised before the flop and Kai Herold three-bet from the button to 32,000. The action folded back to Gabel who moved all in right away for 105,000 and Herold went into the tank.

"I think I'm way behind," Herold sighed.

"I think I have to call but you're the tightest guy at the table," Herold continued before ultimately throwing in the required chips for the call.

Herold was indeed behind showing {A-Spades}{J-Spades} but Gabel wasn't out of dodge yet with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

The flop brought {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Herold picked up a pair of jacks after which the turn was the {J-Hearts} to give him three of a kind. Gabel needed a ten or a queen to stay alive on the river, but it was the {J-Clubs} to give Herold quads.

Rise Of the Moorman

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Marco Caza opened the action under the gun and Chris Moorman, sat next to him, three-bet to 34,000. With the blinds leaving them to if Caza made the call and they saw the heads-up flop spread {j-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

Caza splashed out a bet of 30,000 and Moorman meticulously gathered a raise and bet 60,000. Caza gave up the fight and Moorman implied that he had made a good fold.

Willie Tann
Willie Tann

Willie Tann has live tournament results from right around the time the player was born that just knocked him out. Tann's been around for a very long time and won his first World Series of Poker bracelet in 2005 for $188,335, but he won't add a EPT title to his long list of cashes just yet.

Tann just moved all in for 55,000 from the small blind and Ardon called from the big.

Tann: {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Ardon: {A-Spades}{3-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Tann hit the rail right after the break.
