Kamel Busts to Taylor

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

The seat of Tamer Kamel was vacated after the return of the dinner break and a quick question at the table resulted in the answer by Lee Taylor. "Yeah I busted him," the Brit said. Taylor had raised and picked up a few callers to see a flop of {J-} {10-} {7-}. After the continuation bet of Taylor with a set of sevens, Kamel shoved with {J-} {9-} for top pair and the gutshot.

An eight on the turn was a delight for Kamel, but the river paired the board with a second ten to bust him.

Neuville Loses to Jachtmann

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Jan Peter Jachtmann opened for 1,200 from early position and action quickly folded to Pierre Neuville in the small blind. The Belgian pensionado made it 4,100 and Jachtmann called.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Neuville bet 3,500. Jachtmann called again.

The {4-Hearts} fell on the turn and Neuville checked. Jachtmann now thought he didn't get enough change at some point in the hand, and we weren't to sure about the amounts so far either. The dealer counted the pot and concluded it was ok. Jachtmann agreed and checked behind.

The {A-Hearts} on the river made Neuville bet out 7,000. Jachtmann said he thought Neuville might have ace-king, but called anyway. Neuville didn't show ace-king but tabled {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Jachtmann slammed {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} on the table and won the pot.

Reinkemeier Can't Call

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Tobias Reinkemeier opened for 1,200 and the player in the hijack made the call. Fernando Brito called in the cutoff and the three of them all checked {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

The {K-Hearts} on the turn made Reinkemeier check again. The hijack bet 2,700 and Brito folded. Reinkemeier called.

The {9-Spades} concluded the community cards of the hand and Reinkemeier checked again. The hijack now bet 8,100 and Reinkemeier folded after some thinking.

Bonavena Doubles

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

After a three-bet pot preflop, Sebastian Linden bet the {7-Clubs} {8-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} turn for 12,500 and Salvatore Bonavena pushed all in. Linden called it off out of the big blind and flipped over {Q-Spades} {7-Spades} for two pair whereas the Italian had {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs} for middle set. Only a queen was of help for the German, yet the dealer burned and turned the {J-Hearts} river.

Once the stacks were counted, Bonavena had 29,200 on the turn still and Linden was covered by roughly 1,000 chips.

Spin the Double, Benny

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Former EPT London champion Benny Spindler has managed a double up in a four-way pot.

He opened from the cutoff picked up four callers en route to {9-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} flop. Sergey Sergeev was in the big blind and led out for 3,400. Spindler was the only caller to the {4-Spades} turn where he called another 5,500. On the {8-Spades} river Sergeev emptied the clip with a 13,000 bet and called the extra when his German opponent raised all in for 15,900.

Spindler opened {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} beating out Sergeev's inferior two pair with {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

Marotta's Stack Taken by Jedlicka

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Stefan Jedlicka raised to 1,100 from early position and Josip Simunic called from two seats over. Francesco Marotta moved all in for 7,250 from the button and both Austrians called. On the {8-Spades} {5-Hearts} {3-Clubs} flop, Jedlicka bet 6,200 and Simunic folded.

In the showdown, the Austrian turned over {10-Diamonds} {10-Spades} and held up against the {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} of Marotta as the {9-Spades} turn and {4-Diamonds} river were both blanks.

Mike McDonald Had Some Chips

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

But not anymore.

Just after the dinner break we spotted Mike McDonald with very little chips, and moments later they all played in the middle of the table.

The player on the button had raised to 1,100 after which McDonald moved all in for a little shy of 7,000 chips. Puglia Giampaolo, who was the initial raiser, made the call and created the following showdown.

McDonald: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Giampaolo: {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{K-Spades}{5-Hearts} and McDonald wished all the other players good luck before leaving the tournament area.
