Birizdo Gone

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Before the break, Istvan Birizdo had lost the majority of his stack and was down all the way to 110,000 chips that he now had put into the middle of the table preflop. Niccolo Ceccarelli from one seat over looked him up with {A-Spades} {K-Spades} and dominated the {A-Clubs} {4-Spades} of Birizdo.

Despite some sweat on the {3-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {9-Spades} flop, the board completed with the {10-Hearts} turn and {3-Spades} river to cause yet another seat open.

Lhommeau Busts with Queens

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Table 10 is dramatically increasing the number of eliminations once they have been moved off the feature table. Koray Aldemir opened to 13,000 and was called by Damien Lhommeau in the hijack before Antoine Vranken moved all in for 95,000 out of the small blind. Aldemir just flat-called and now Lhommeau shoved for a total stack of 180,000, Aldemir snap-called.

Vranken: {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs}
Aldemir: {A-Clubs} {A-Spades}
Lhommeau: {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {5-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} and the three-way pot saw the elimination of Lhommeau and triple up of Vranken. The Dutchman has since snagged some more chips to move up further.

Ensan Loses Big Pot to Dietrich

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Hossein Ensan opened the button for 12,000 and small blind Moritz Dietrich three-bet to 32,000. Ensan four-bet to 55,000 and Dietrich made the call.

Dietrich checked to Ensan on {3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, and called the 29,000 bet that followed. Both players checked the {10-Clubs} on the turn and the {8-Hearts} completed the board. Dietrich bet 57,000 and after some time, Ensan called.

Dietrich showed {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for top pair, Ensan mucked.

Benny Spindler
Benny Spindler

A short stack moved all in for 42,000 with {9-Clubs} {6-Clubs} from under the gun and Antoine Vranken flat-called before Glib Kovtunov squeezed to 115,000.

Behind the Ukrainian, Spindler moved all in for 380,000 and Kovtunov snapped him off with pocket queens after the fold of Vranken. Spindler was ahead with pocket aces but a queen popped up on the turn.

ZZ Top: Zeiter Takes on Zsuffa

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

A short-stacked Diego Zeiter got his last 38,000 all in preflop and found himself at risk against Miklos Zsuffa.

Zsuffa: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Zeiter: {3-}{3-}

Zeiter was in need of some help, but it never came as the board ran out a lackluster {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

Holz Shows Bluff

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Nandor Solyom opened the action with a raise from the cutoff and Fedor Holz defended his small blind to see a flop of {2-Clubs} {9-Spades} {6-Spades}. A raising war followed that saw Solyom three-bet to 86,000 with less than that behind and Holz shoved. Solyom somehow folded and was then shown the {J-Hearts} {10-Spades}.

Puglia Eliminates Geissert

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Giampaolo Puglia opened for 13,000 and Fedor Holz in the cutoff made the call. Bjorn Geissert in the big blind thought about it for some time, before making the call with just 76,000 behind.

The flop came {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Geissert checked. Puglia bet 16,000 and Holz instantly folded. Geissert shoved all in and Puglia instantly called by tossing in an extra 1,000 chip.

Bjorn Geissert: {Q-Spades}{2-Spades}
Giampaola Puglia: {A-Clubs}{5-Spades}

The {9-Clubs} on the turn didn't help Geissert and neither did the {A-Hearts} on the river. Geissert hit the rail.

The German held {A-Spades} {10-Hearts} and cruised to a double up thanks to a board of {J-Spades} {Q-Spades} {3-Spades} {K-Hearts} {2-Hearts}.
