Roca Slipping

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Mayu Roca raised to 1,500 and was called by Elie El Feghali and Gilbert Diaz. On the {J-Clubs} {9-Spades} {7-Clubs} flop, Roca continued for 1,700 and only Diaz called to see the {8-Clubs} on the turn. This time, Roca check-called a bet of 2,000 by Diaz and then folded the {10-Hearts} on the river when the Frenchman moved all in for 7,550.

Mizzi Punishes

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Alfie Adam limped under the gun and Daniel Rudd raised it up to 1,800.

Sorel Mizzi spied an opportunity and made it 3,500. The blinds then folded and it was back on Adam. Had he been setting a trap? No was the answer as Adam folded and so did Rudd.

The Moneymaker Bustout

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Chris Moneymaker
Chris Moneymaker

Early in level seven, Chris Moneymaker raised from early position and was called by two players including Tibor Nagygyorgy. On a flop of {J-Hearts} {6-} {2-Hearts}, the American made a continuation bet and was called before getting his short stack in after the {K-Diamonds} turn.

Moneymaker had {A-Clubs} {8-Clubs} for ace-high and Nagygyorgy called with {A-Hearts} {10-Hearts} for ace-high with the better kicker and the flush draw. The river was a brick and that was it.

Mrs Ruter Wants A Result

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Michael Ruter had this to say to the table after the break: “My mum said this is the last tournament she’s putting me in if I don’t cash. After ten years, no more.”

Mrs Ruter, if you’re reading this, your boy is doing just fine.

Update on Nitsche

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Dominik Nitsche's seat was empty and soon occupied by another player, so we asked the only other familiar face on the table on what happened: Artem Metalidi. Apparently the German got his last 6,000 chips in before the dinner break with {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} and ran into {A-} {K-}.

Lodden Thinks and Bluffs Spivack

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Joining the action on the {3-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {3-Spades} {K-Spades} turn, Zohar Spivack bet 7,600 into an already loaded pot from the hijack-seat and Johnny Lodden called on the button to see the {A-Spades} on the river. Spivack checked and then folded to a 15,600 bet with Lodden leaving himself another 10,000 behind. Lodden showed the {7-Clubs} {10-Clubs} ...
