Move gone Wrong from Graner

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Stephen Graner defended his big blind against a 12,000-raise of Milan Sasek and then check-raised the {J-Spades} {A-Spades} {2-Spades} flop from 13,000 to 36,000. Sasek reraised to 80,000 and Graner called. Both players checked the {2-Hearts} turn and Graner then put his opponent all in for 203,000 on the {K-Diamonds} river.

Sasek called with {7-Spades} {10-Spades} for the flopped flush and Graner tried to muck his {7-Clubs} {8-Spades}, but the dealer turned it over due to the all in situation, where all cards must be shown.

Berent Eliminated By Zaichenko

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

In the space of two hands Norbert Berent has been eliminated from the tournament.

We arrived at the table to find the board spread out {4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts} and Berent checking his option from the blinds. Brian Altman was in the cut off an slid out a bet of 115,000 which was called shortly after.

Altman tabled his {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for a pair of nines which was enough to take down the pot as Berent tossed his cards into the muck.

In the following hand, the action folded back around to Berent in the small blind. He raised before Andrey Zaichencko came over the top from the big blind. Several raises later and Berent was all in for his remaining 140,000 and at risk holding {A-}{k-} against Zaichenko’s {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

The dealer spread out the {5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts} board which helped Berent in no way as he was sent to the rail.

Daniel Chitakhov Eliminated by Petr Jelinek

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Chitakhov shoved his last 62,000 from the hijack in and Petr Jelinek made the call from the button. Both blinds folded and Chitakhov was hit by the bad news pretty soon. Chitakhov showed {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and was up against {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}.

The {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} on the flop provided some split pot possibilities, and the {8-Clubs} on the turn wasn't an ugly card either, but the {Q-Spades} on the river was a blank and Chitakhov hit the rail.

Lecomte Flops Good, Turns Bad

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

"All in and a call!" we heard coming from the dealer at one of the outer tables in the room. We rushed over and saw Quentin Lecomte open up {A-}{Q-} while Ilkin Amirov had {A-}{K-} in front of him.

Lecomte got lucky on the flop hitting {7-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, but things turned sour for the Frenchman on the turn: {K-Hearts}. The {10-Diamonds} on the river didn't change a thing and Lecomte made his way to the exit.

Kyriakides Busts Herold To Top Million Chips

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Miltiadis Kyriakides
Miltiadis Kyriakides

Miltiadis Kyriakides opened to 12,000 and Praz Bansi called before Kai Herold three-bet on the button to 33,000.

Kyriakides clarified the bet before sliding out a raise to around 100,000. Bansi folded and when it got back to Herold he moved all in and was instantly called.

Herold flipped over his {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and when he saw the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} of Kyriakides muttered, “I am so dead.”

Indeed he was as the board ran out {6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} to send Herod to the rail and put Kyriakides’s stack at over a million.

Lebedev Knocks out Tuna

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Akin Tuna raised to 16,000 out of the cutoff and was called by Sergey Lebedev on the button-seat and the player in the big blind. On the {10-Spades} {2-Clubs} {A-Hearts} flop, the third player got out of the way and Lebedev called a continuation bet of 22,000 by Tuna. The German then check-called a bet of 32,000 on the {A-Diamonds} turn and checked again the {Q-Diamonds} river.

Lebedev moved all in and Tuna called with {A-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} only to see the Russian turn over {A-Spades} {10-Clubs} for the better hand.

Wiesler Gets Aces paid off

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Andrey Zaichenko three-bet shoved to put Bjorn Wiesler at risk and the German as initial raiser happily called for his last 294,000 chips with {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}. Zaichenko, who was the chip leader after Day 1b, only had {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} and couldn't get there on a board of {K-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {6-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {5-Spades}.

Dion Eliminated By Grieco

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The action started with Sam Grafton raising to 13,000 from the hijack. Francesco Grieco made the call from the button before Yann Dion had a decision to make on the big blind. He opted to move all in for 144,000 which was enough to force a fold from Grafton. Grieco asked for a count before making the call.

Grieco: {A-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Dion: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades} to see Grieco spike an ace on the flop to take down the pot.

The hand sees Grieco move up to 800,000 in chips.
