Katchalov's Flopped Straight Goes Down to Straight Flush

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Straight Flush for Georgios Sotiropoulos!
Straight Flush for Georgios Sotiropoulos!

On a board of {6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} the small blind checked, and Sam Grafton in the big blind lead for 38,000. Eugene Katchalov flatted in middle position and Georgios Sotiropoulos shoved all in right behind him for what we believe was 197,000, but the dealer counted as 207,000. The small blind quickly folded, Grafton soon realized his hand wasn't good enough and folded, Katchalov instantly called.

Eugene Katchalov: {5-Spades}{7-Spades}
Georgios Sotiropoulos: {7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The {4-Hearts} on the turn made Katchalov drawing dead, the {10-Hearts} was just insult to injury. Katchalov had 240,000 left after that hand.

Brian Kim Down and Out

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Brian Kim has been eliminated, and he was kind enough to tell us the details.

The player to his right opened to 16,000, and with just 95,000 left Brian Kim shoved all in. Action folded back to the initial raiser who made the call holding {K-}{10-}. Kim was ahead with {5-}{5-} but the turn would do him no good: {Q-}{9-}{4-Clubs}{10-}{2-}.

Brian Kim eliminated at the end of Day 3.

Four More

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

And then the day is done for. We'll be back with some more bust outs, chip counts, and an extensive recap of the day.

Bansi Gets it in ahead; Loses Twice

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

First [Removed:2] doubled up for 121,000 with {A-Clubs} {8-Spades} against the {A-Spades} {J-Clubs} of Praz Bansi on a board of {4-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {K-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {2-Clubs}. The Brit had 75,000 left after the hand and doubled once before then being at risk for 157,000 with {9-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} against the {A-Hearts} {J-Clubs} of Miltiadis Kyriakides.

The board ran out {A-Spades} {7-Spades} {10-Spades} {K-Hearts} {8-Spades} and that was it for Bansi.

Linde Doubles Through Solyom

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

After the turn of a {Q-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {6-Hearts} board, Dylan Linde was all in and at risk with {K-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} and initial raiser Nandor Solyom called from the button with {J-Spades} {6-Spades}. "Nice hand," Linde said and stood up, ready to leave. Instead, the {9-Hearts} on the river gave him a flush and he sat back down.

Nyman Loses Flip on Roller Coaster Board

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Bjorn Wiesler had Ville Nyman at risk preflop with {8-Clubs} {8-Hearts} and saw his opponent improve with {K-Spades} {J-Hearts} on a flop of {7-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {6-Spades}. The {10-Hearts} on the turn now gave the German a gutshot, but it would be the {8-Spades} on the river that awarded the pot to the better hand preflop. Nyman was sent to the rail in 72nd place and that was also the last spot to receive only €11,920.

Vrakas Busts Aidonopoulos

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

After a raise to 16,000, Theodoros Aidonopoulos moved all in for 60,000 and Georgios Vrakas reraised to 120,000 to scare off the initial raiser. Aidonopoulos had a flip with {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} against {3-Spades} {3-Clubs} but could not improve on a board of {5-Spades} {8-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {4-Clubs}.

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

From the hijack seat, Raffaele Sorrentino four-bet shoved for 150,000 chips with {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds} and got called by Pablo Sanz Quiles in the cutoff with {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}. It was already all over by the turn of a {Q-Spades} {5-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {3-Spades} {3-Diamonds} board.

Danzer Doubles

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
George Danzer
George Danzer

On the feature table George Danzer opened the action and it folded round to Pascal Pflock in the big blind who three-bet enough to put Danzer all in.

Danzer sweated for a bit under the studio lights but he did make the call to put his tournament life at risk.

Pflock showed the pair {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Danzer the suited {a-Spades}{j-Spades}.

The cards ran out {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} with Danzer picking up more outs on the turn but untimately hitting his ace on the river to double up.
