Aniol Alcaraz Eliminated in 15th Place

Aniol Alcaraz
Aniol Alcaraz
There was some action on table two as we first saw Thibaut Durand double up to 240k against chip leader Diego Perez, and then an elimination, as Aniol Alcaraz departed after going all in with {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Christian Harder called with {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. The board came {J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and there are now 14 players left in the PokerStars EPT German Open.

Creative Play by Timex

Michael "Timex" McDonald
Michael "Timex" McDonald
Michael "Timex" McDonald showed some creative play when he won a medium-sized pot against Johannes Strassmann. Strassmann raised pre-flop and McDonald called. It was checked down to river with a board of {Q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} where McDonald bet out 110k and Strassmann called with {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}. McDonald then raked the pot with his {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds} for top pair. Right after that hand, all the players began an hour-long dinner break. We will be back at around 8:00 PM local time in Dortmund.

Big Money Jump

After a frantic tempo during the first two hours of the day, it has now slowed down as we are down to 15 players. There is quite a big jump in the prize list, from 16th place (€22,150) to 15th place (€31,700). In three minutes we will go on a dinner break.
