Toby Lewis Eliminated in 5th Place (€232,400)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Toby Lewis -- 5th Place
Toby Lewis -- 5th Place

An unlucky Toby Lewis has been eliminated by Steven Silverman. The latter has extended his lead at the top as a result.

Lewis opened to 60,000 from under the gun and moved all in for around 600,000 after Silverman three-bet to 165,000 off the button. Silverman snap called.

Lewis: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Silverman: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The board ran a dreamy {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for Silverman. Lewis wished everyone the best of luck and made his way to the payout desk.

Lewis Doubles

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

From the cutoff seat, Fady Kamar raised to 60,000. Toby Lewis moved all in from the small blind for 298,000, and Kamar called.

Kamar showed the {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, and Lewis had the {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Following a run out of {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{J-Spades}, Lewis doubled.

On the next hand, Tony Gregg opened with a raise to 60,000 from the cutoff seat, and Lewis jammed all in to win the pot. Everyone, including Gregg, folded.

Gregg Opts Not To Bet Straight On RIver

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst raised to 60,000 from the cutoff seat, Steven Silverman called from the button, Fady Kamar called from the small blind, and Tony Gregg called from the big blind.

The flop came down {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, and Kamar checked. Gregg fired 170,000, which was followed by a fold from Selbst and Silverman. Kamar then check-raised to 370,000, and Gregg called.

The turn was the {K-Diamonds}, and Kamar checked. Gregg checked behind.

The river was the {7-Hearts}, and Kamar checked. Gregg thought for a few moments, making a cringing face as if to say, "I should bet this, but ehhhhh, I don't know," and then checked behind.

Kamar showed the {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}, but Gregg's {4-Spades}{3-Spades} for a seven-high straight was the winning hand, and he collected the pot.

Toby Lewis can relax in the knowledge he had locked up, at least, an extra €40,000 after Chris Moore was eliminated by Tony Gregg.

Steven Silverman opened to 65,000 before Moore moved 95% of his stack into the middle. Gregg was in the small blind and moved all in and Moore called off the extra after Silverman folded.

Moore: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Gregg: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

The board ran {6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Moore leaves with a cool €193,500 pay day.

Big Blind Battles Gives Silverman the Lead

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst limped in from the small blind. Steven Silverman was in the big blind and raised to 92,000. Selbst reraised to 241,000, and Silverman flat-called to take a flop in position.

With over half a million chips in the middle, the flop rolled out with a pair of cowboys — {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. Selbst led for 155,000, and Silverman called.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds}, and both players checked rather quickly to see the {3-Diamonds} land on the river. After Selbst checked, Silverman fired a bet of 475,000. Selbst gave it up, and Silverman scooped the pot.

With that pot, Silverman leapfrogged Selbst to take the lead. He now has 2.75 million to Selbst's 1.925 million.
