Minieri Can't Bluff His Missed Draw

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Dario Minieri check-called a bet of 1,300 on the {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop against fellow Team Pro Vicky Coren. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and both players checked to see the {Q-Clubs} land on the river. Minieri fired 3,000, and Coren called.

Minieri showed the {8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a missed flush draw. Coren showed the {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for two pair, and she won the pot.

Jacobson Doubles Through Deeb

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Shaun Deeb raised to 1,300 from the cutoff seat, and Martin Jacobson reraised to 3,600 from the small blind. Action got back to Deeb, and he reraised to put Jacobson all in. Jacobson called and put himself at risk for 20,025 total.

Jacobson held the {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, and Deeb the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}. It was off to the races for these two, a race that Jacobson would win as the board ran out {J-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

Full House for Alvarado

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

JC Alvarado raised to 1,500 from the cutoff seat, and Bryn Kenney called on the button. Everyone else folded, leaving just Alvarado and Kenney heads up on the {K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop. Alvarado fired 2,400, and Kenney called.

The turn was the {9-Clubs}, prompting a check from Alvarado before Kenney checked behind. Then, the {K-Hearts} completed the board on the river, pairing it with cowboys. Alvarado fired 5,000, and Kenney quickly called.

Alvarado showed the {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for a full house, and Kenney mucked his hand. Alvarado scooped the pot to move to 72,000 in chips, while Kenney was knocked back to 36,000.

Chips Please!

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Tobias Reinkemeier must've thought he was in heaven when he flopped the nuts and had Per Ummer shoving behind him. The Swede soon took him to hell though.

After a lot of pre flop action these two players plus Gautam Sabharwal and Philipp Gruissem watched as a {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} flop fanned in front of them.

Sabharwal was the first to bet but he, and Gruissem, folded after Reinkemeier and Ummer both moved all in.

Reinkemeier: {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for the nut straight.
Ummer: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} for middle set.

It was looking good for the champion here from three seasons ago but the board ran out {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} to make the Swede quads!

McDonald Settles on the River

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Mike McDonald has got his stack going back in the right direction after rivering a set.

He raised from early position and was called by Minieri on the button and Paul Newey in the big blind.

The flop fell {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and McDonald continued for 1,500. Only Minieri called to the {a-Diamonds} turn where he called another 2,300. The board completed with the {7-Clubs} and both players checked.

McDonald opened {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Minieri mucked.

Is it Right to Ask to see a Hand?

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

An interesting table-wide discussion broke out at the climax of a hand between Dario Minieri and Mark Teltscher about asking to see an opponent's hand.

The hand itself wasn't that exciting. Teltscher raised to 1,000 off the button and Minieri defended his big blind to see a {7-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop appear. There he check-called a 1,100 bet before both players checked the {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs} turn and river down.

"Ace," said Teltscher.

"I'm sorry, can I see? I want to understand the hand," replied Minieri.

Teltscher opened {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and lost out to the Team PokerStars Pro's {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. "I hope you understand the hand now!" said a sharp Teltscher to Minieri.

Minieri didn't think he'd done anything wrong as asked Phil Ivey of his opinion. "I come from cash games ans we don't so that, but I guess they do that now. I'm an old player."

Mike McDonald, Vicky Coren and others agreed with this opinion.

Big Three-Way All-In Pot

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

On the {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop, Mike Watson, Roger Tondeur and Dan O'Brien all got the money in. Watson was short and open-shoved the flop, before Tondeur called, O'Brien raised, Tondeur reraised all in, and O'Brien called.

Tondeur held the {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for middle set of nines, but he was behind both of his opponents. O'Brien held the {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Watson the {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} — both had flopped queen-high straights.

The turn was the {6-Clubs}, and the river was the {3-Hearts}. Both of those cards failed to pair the board, and Tondeur lost the pot. O'Brien had him covered, and Tondeur was eliminated.

Cheong Folds To Charania, But Wins from Quoss

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

From middle position, Fabian Quoss raised to 1,100. Mohsin Charania made the call from the hijack seat, and Kyle Cheong called from the cutoff seat. The three players took a paired flop of {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, and Quoss checked. Charania bet 1,800, and Cheong called behind. Quoss folded.

The turn added the {6-Diamonds} to the board, and Charania stayed on the gas with a bet of 4,400. Cheong made the call to see the {3-Spades} fall on the river. Charania fired 11,600, and Cheong gave it up.

On the very next hand, Quoss opened from under the gun plus one to 1,200. Cheong reraised to 2,800 from the hijack seat, then action fell on David "Doc" Sands in the cutoff seat. He tanked for a tiny bit, then folded. Everyone else folded back to Quoss, and he called.

The flop came down {8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}, and Quoss checked. Following Cheong's bet of 2,800, Quoss quickly gave it up.
