Cantatore Takes a Slither Out of Fransson's Massive Stack
Level 11
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Pia Fransson bet 3,000 from the small blind and Giovanni Cantatore called in the big blind.
The flop of 9♥7♦5♦ saw Fransson continue for 3,000, but the Italian raised to 6,000 and was called by the Swede.
Cantatore bet 6,000 on the turn when the 7♣ paired the board and was called by Fransson. Both players checked the 8♥ river and Canatore tabled 10♠9♦ for two pair to take the pot.
It was a minor inconvenience for Fransson who has been at the top of the chips standings for most of the day. Fransson had a deep run last year in the FPS Main Event at Aix En Provence and will be hoping her stack will propel her to her biggest ever score.
