Holz Chips Up; Davies Gets It Back From Sammartino

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 750 ante

Fedor Holz three-bet to 39,000 and Seth Davies cold four-bet to 84,000 in the small blind. Matthew "Nator" Hyman let go and Holz called. On the {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop, Davies bet 72,000 for Holz to call and checked the {k-Diamonds} turn. Holz now bet 81,000 and shut down his opponent.

One hand later, Davies made it 13,500 to go on the button and was called only by Dario Sammartino in the small blind. The {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop was checked and Sammartino bet the {5-Clubs} turn for 19,125, picking up a call. Sammartino elected to check the {a-Clubs} river and Davies overbet for 142,608 into 76,500 while leaving himself with 18,000 behind.

Sammartino tank-called with {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} but Davies had the flush with the {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

Filatov Felted by Vieira

Level 18 : 3,500/7,000, 850 ante

Anatoly Filatov saw his hopes on the current bullet vanish when he jammed the cutoff with the {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}. Joao Vieira isolated with the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} on the button and prevailed thanks to a board of {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. It was likely not the last time Filatov was spotted in this event as the late registration remains open for more than an hour.
