Koon Breaks a Million

Level 27 : 12,500/25,000, 3,000 ante

A raise of 44,000 came from Wei Zhao who was in the cutoff and Jason Koon defended his big blind to see the {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. Koon check-called a bet of 38,940 on the flop and a {9-Hearts} peeled off on the turn.

Koon tapped to Zhao who bet 97,940 and once more Koon check-called. A {3-Spades} completed the board and Zhao fired in 195,880. Koon timebank-called the bet and Zhao tabled {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a turned straight.

The straight of Zhao was not enough when Koon showed {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a turned flush which was more than good enough to take down the pot, blasting Koon over the million mark.

Kelopuro Uses His One-Time

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 2,500 ante

Timothy Nuter opened to 40,000 from middle position and Sami Kelopuro put in a three-bet of 110,000 from the cutoff. Nuter shoved 455,548 and Kelopuro called for slightly less.

Sami Kelopuro: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Timothy Nuter: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

A {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop landed, hitting Nuter with a pair of cowboys to take the lead. The {3-Diamonds} turn left Kelopuro in need of a johnnie and an unlikely {j-Clubs} smashed the river, hitting Kelopuro with his set to take down the pot for a complete double. Nuter was left short and took an exit soon after.

Nolet Takes Down Holz with Bubble on the Horizon

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 2,500 ante

Guillaume Nolet opened to 32,000 from early position and a shove came from Fedor Holz on the button for a total of 296, 650. Action folded back to Nolet who snap-called, putting the GGPoker ambassador at risk.

Fedor Holz: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Guillaume Nolet: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The flop hit both runners hard when {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs} landed, giving both three aces but Nolet was leading with a higher kicker. An {8-Diamonds} turn left Holz in need of some love but a {2-Hearts} river as of no help and he was eliminated by Nolet just shy of the money.

Greenwood Running Pure

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Action folded around to small blind who pushed his 713,985 stack into the middle. Dan Smith snap-called from the big blind, putting his 218,138 stack into the middle.

Dan Smith: {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Sam Greenwood: {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Smith had a heavy lead but lady luck had other plans when the {q-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop landed on the flop, hitting Greenwood with three ladies. The {7-Spades} turn card sealed it for Greenwood who then had Smith drawing dead to the {k-Spades} river card, sending another pot to the red-hot Greenwood.

Greenwood Steamrolling as Bubble Loams

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Sam Greenwood opened to 35,000 from the cutoff and Vincent Cavailles shoved 170,097 on the button. Greenwood called, putting Cavailles at risk of elimination.

Vincent Cavailles: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Sam Greenwood: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}

The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Cavailles was still leading with his sailboats. A weather switch brought a snowman on the turn, hitting Greenwood with a pair to take the lead and the {5-Clubs} river sealed it for the Canadian who sent Cavailles to the rail.
