Astedt Nails the Coffin Shut on Addamo

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 1,750 ante

Niklas Astedt opened from the cutoff to 26,400 and a short-stacked Michael Addamo shoved his 163,600 in the big blind. Astedt called and the two flipped them up.

Michael Addamo: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Niklas Astedt: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The flip sent a lead to Astedt when {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades} landed on the flop, giving him a pair of queens. The {9-Diamonds} turn and {9-Hearts} river failed to improve Addamo who was ent packing, shipping the pot top Astedt.

Smith Hits the Max Late Registration Button

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

Dan Smith jumped in right before the late registration period ended and has already found a few chips. Guillaume Nolet opened to 24,000 from middle position, Fedor Holz called on the button and Dan Smith shoved 120,000 from the small blind. Nolet was the lone-caller and they turned over their hands.

Dan Smith: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Guillaume Nolet: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The flop came down {k-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Smith was still leading the way with his higher kicker. A {k-Spades} left Nolet in need of a nine to drop Smith from the field but an {8-Clubs} river was not it and Smith pulled in the pot, adding some chips to the stack of a dangerous player.

Badziakouski and Bonomo Flip for Stacks

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

Action folded to Justin Bonomo in the cutoff and he shoved 98,750. Mikita Badziakouski jammed 122,855 over the top from the small blind and Matthias Eibinger ducked out of the big blind, leaving just two.

Justin Bonomo: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Mikita Badziakouski: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

The coin flip saw Badziakouski take a monster lead when the {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop landed, giving him a boat. A {3-Diamonds} turn card cemented it for Badziakouski who had Bonomo drawing dead to the {8-Diamonds} river card. Bonomo was eliminated and Badziakouski scooped the pot.

Late Registration Has Come to a Close

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,250 ante

The six-hour late registration period has now come to an end. A total of 202 registration buttons were hit during this time, accumulating a $5,050,000 prize pool which just barely surpassed the guarantee that was set.

Just 62 players are left standing thus far in the field and of those, just 27 will find a payday. A min-cash will be pulling in $49,063 with the eventual champion taking home a whopping $1,095,741 for their victory.

Fox Sits Down and Instantly Finds a Double

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,250 ante

Elio Fox jumped in during the break and quickly found a hand. Isaac Haxton shoved from the small blind and Fox called his 85,000 into the middle from the big blind.

Elio Fox: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Isaac Haxton: {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out clean as {10-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Clubs} fell on the virtual felt, sending a double to Fox who just jumped into the field.

Break Time

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,250 ante

The players will now be taking a five-minute break and here are the top stacks. It looks like there will be around five minutes left in the late registration period once players return from this break.
