David Peters Eliminated in 6th Place ($138,451)

Level 30 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante
David Peters
David Peters

The action folded all the way to David Peters on the button and he open-jammed for 1,213,758 in the final hand of the level, for just over 20 big blinds total. Christian Rudolph had him covered by half a blind and made the call in the big blind.

David Peters: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Christian Rudolph: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The mighty ducks held on the {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop and {k-Clubs} turn. However, the {q-Diamonds} fell on the river and Peters was eliminated in 6th place for $138,451.

Just Two Flops in Sight

Level 30 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Ronny Kaiser and Mikita Badziakouski got through with a three-bet jam while Artur Martirosian won a min-raised pot by betting the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop for 60,000 against Badziakouski.

Christian Rudolph then raised it up to 132,000 from under the gun and Ronny Kaiser defended the big blind. That led to the {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop and Kaiser check-folded when facing a continuation bet.

Peters Bleeds More Chips

Level 30 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Nick Petrangelo limped in from the small blind and David Peters checked his option from one seat over. The {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop was checked and Petrangelo then bet the {10-Clubs} tun and {2-Spades} river for 60,000 and 94,050 respectively.

Peters called with the {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a bluff catcher but Petrangelo had that beat with {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for tens and eights.

Martirosian Doubles Through Peters

Level 30 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

David Peters opened to 132,000 in the third hand of the new level and Artur Martirosian came along out of the big blind. The {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{k-Spades} flop was checked by Martirosian, who then called a min-bet by Peters for 60,000. No betting action took place on the {10-Hearts} turn and Martirosian also checked the {j-Diamonds} river.

Peters jammed it in with the far superior stack only for Martirosian to snap-call with {q-Spades}{6-Spades} for a straight. That secured the double, as Peters flipped over the {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

Badziakouski Takes a Narrow Lead

Level 29 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

The min-raise by Mikita Badziakouski was called by David Peters in the small blind and Ronny Kaiser in the big blind. As they checked to the {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} river, it was checked once more Peters and Kaiser. Badziakouski bet 336,000 and earned the pot without resistance or showdown.

Badziakouski Pulls Closer to Peters

Level 29 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

David Peters made it 100,000 to go in the cutoff and Mikita Badziakouski defended the big blind to see a flop of {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. The Belorussian check-raised to 194,445 to receive a call and bet the {6-Clubs} turn for 214,464. That was too much for Peters as he conceded the lead for one hand.

Peters pulled back into the top spot right after when Artur Martirosian defended the big blind and check-folded the {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop.

R_uida lin Eliminated by Peters
R_uida lin Eliminated by Peters

Once David Peters opened to 100,000 in the cutoff, he was met with resistance as "R_uida lin" jammed for 772,131 from one seat over. Peters gave it some thought and eventually called.

"R_uida lin": {a-Spades}{4-Spades}
David Peters: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

"R_uida lin" was not able to solve the kicker problem on the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} board and was the first finalist to collect a six-figure payday, taking home $106,735.

Kaiser Turns the Nuts

Level 29 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

On the first hand after the break, Nick Petrangelo opened to 100,000. Mikita Badziakouski three-bet to 350,000 and that won the pot uncontested.

Artur Martirosian then jammed to win the blinds and antes, which were handed over to "R_uida lin" and Petrangelo in the following two hands.

Badziakouski then made it 100,000 to go and David Peters opted to call on the button, Ronny Kaiser filled up from the big blind. The {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop was checked all the way and the {10-Diamonds} appeared on the turn, resulting in no betting action either.

All three then checked the {3-Clubs} river and Kaiser's trap with {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for the nut straight didn't pay off. Badziakouski checked behind the {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}, as did Peters with the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}.
