2016 Global Poker League Week 9

Montreal Nationals vs. LA Sunset
Day: 1

Ladouceur Levels the Match

This first heads-up battle of the day is a tight one. Marc-Andre Ladouceur just levelled the match by winning the second heat.

Olivier Busquet was down to 25,000 chips when Ladouceur opened to 2,225 in the 500/1,000-level. Ladouceur had {7-Spades}{J-Spades} and Busquet made the call, holding {9-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

Busquet check-called a 2,770-bet on the {10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}-flop, which gave him top pair. He turned two pair with the {9-Hearts}, but that gave Ladouceur a straight.

Busquet check-called the 6,470-bet and check-called a third time when the {a-Hearts} came down on the river. This time Ladouceur put his opponent all-in for his remaining 15,000 chips.

Busquet saw the bad news and both won one heat now. The three points Ladouceur raked in for his Montreal Nationals bring them back to the top of the Americas conference.
