Preston's Paul Worsley had $83,433 in live tournament cashes, including a career-best $14,509, until he decided to enter the 2025 edition of the Grosvenor Goliath. When Worsley's Hendon Mob profile is updated, it will show an incredible £316,640 score thanks to him topping a record-breaking 12,961-strong field and slaying the 2025 Goliath.
The Goliath has drawn in more than 10,000 entrants annually since 2022. Then, Kyle Jeffrey outlasted 10,583 opponents and banked £200,000. The following year, Alex Todd collected £176,800 after leaving 11,492 opponents in his wake. Last year, the Goliath attracted 11,749 players. William Watkins came out on top and scooped £166,058.
Fast-forward to the 2025 edition, and the Goliath set a new attendance record, with 12,961 entrants and a jaw-dropping £1,970,070 prize pool from a £200 (£160+£40) buy-in. Worsley will forever be known as its champion. This huge turnout keeps the Goliath as the largest-ever tournament outside of Las Vegas and, according to Grosvenor Casinos, the 16th largest live poker tournament of all time!
