Same Old Rooster

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante
Ronald McDonald
Ronald McDonald

New table, new seat, same result as Ronald McDonald is pounding away at the competition and increasing his lead.

He opened to 3,200 and Carl Garland called directly on his left. The big blind came along for the ride and they went three-handed to an {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop.

It checked to McDonald and he led out for 7,500. Both players folded.

Redraw!

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Down to 27 now they are redrawing for seats at the final three tables with 19 minutes left in Level 11.

Rooster Crows

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Ronald "Rooster" McDonald finally lost a hand and it took a relatively bad beat to get it done.

It was McDonald's pocket sevens versus short stack Jeffrey Dolezal's pocket sevens with Dolezal at risk for his tournament life.

The board ran out with four hearts on it, and since Dolezal had the {7-Hearts}, rather than chopping, he doubled up.

Break!

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Now through 10 levels on the day the 32 players remaining are off on a 15-minute break.

In the meantime, the tournament staff are coloring up, racing off and removing the green 25-denomination chips.

Moneymaker's Call

There was about 13,000 in the middle and Chris Moneymaker was faced with a 9,000-chip bet from his heads-up opponent on an {A-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{J-Spades} board.

Moneymaker went deep into the tank on this one, but emerged with a call.

"Good call," his opponent said.

"We'll see," replied Moneymaker. "I've got a four."

"Like I said, good call," added his opponent, mucking as the table sat with their jaws dropped on the felt, astonished by the call Moneymaker just made showing {K-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for fourth pair.

"I'm at the wrong table," added one player.

Would You Like Fries With That?

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Ronald McDonald keeps rolling right along.

After a preflop raising war, McDonald called off one 24,000-chip shove with just {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Of course he was right as his heads-up opponent held {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} and hit the rail after an {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts} run out.

The Stop and Go

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Lee Childs
Lee Childs

Lee Childs, who had been bleeding chips over the last level, just stopped the bleeding with a classic stop and go.

An {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{K-Hearts} flop was checked around four-handed, but when one player bet 5,000 into the {A-Diamonds} turn, Childs was the only caller.

The river came the {4-Spades} and Childs instantly took the lead, pushing all in.

"It's hard to fold an ace here," said Childs' opponent, eventually doing so, showing {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and a ton of respect.
