Stammen Stackin'

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Harold Evans raised to 3,500 from under the gun and Keven Stammen called from right behind. The flop came {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Evans continued for 3,500. Stammen called and the {5-Clubs} came on the turn. Evans bet 7,000 and Stammen called. The river was the {8-Hearts} and Evans checked.

Stammen bet 9,000 and Evans reluctantly called, seeing the bad news when Stammen tabled {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for one more pair than his {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

Stammen gave a few chips away the very next hand, but is still sitting with a healthy stack.

Hencheck Gathering Chips in Spades

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

David Ross Limped from middle position and Al Hencheck limped from the cutoff. Stuart Hoag raised to 3,200 from the button and Jared Palmer called from the small blind. Ross and Hencheck also came along. The flop was {3-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Spades} and Palmer led for 5,000. Ross folded and Hencheck raised to 15,000. Hoag got out of the way and Palmer called.

The {10-Spades} turn brought two checks, as did the {9-Clubs} river. Palmer rolled over {j-Spades}{7-Spades} for the flopped flush, but Hencheck was one better with {q-Spades}{2-Spades}.

PokerNews Podcast Episode #344: Pennsylvania Moves One Big Step Closer To Online Poker

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Rich Ryan and Donnie Peters discussed the big winners from the 2015 WSOP Main Event on last week's podcast, but neglected to mention the biggest winner, the U.S. Government. They break down some of the massive tax payments the IRS will receive from the November Niners, and discuss the online gaming bill moving swiftly through the Pennsylvania State Legislature.

Filippidis Fades River

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

We picked up the heads-up action after a flop of {4-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Michael Filippidis bet 2,500 and his opponent called. The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Filippidis checked. His opponent bet 8,000 and Filippidis raised enough to put him all in. He instantly called and tabled {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Filippidis had {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} and the {9-Diamonds} fell on the river to eliminate his opponent.

It appears that Filippidis may have been the benefactor of a misread board, as his opponent mentioned "I have the fl...", before realizing the turn was just the second heart on the board.

Schaffer Doubles Through Stammen

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

A player in middle position opened to 2,200 and Jeff Schaffer three-bet from right behind to 5,000. Keven Stammen four-bet to 12,000 and the initial raiser got out of the way. Schaffer moved all in for 19,650 total and Stammen immediately called.

Stammen: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Schaffer: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

The {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop stayed clean for Schaffer, but the {10-Hearts} turn gave Stammen some more outs. The {3-Clubs} fell on the river, though and Schaffer put a small dent in Stammen's stack.
