Eveslage, Hengen and Feenstra Eliminated

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante

David Hengen defended his big blind against a raise from Jens Kerper and moved all in after the {A-}{K-}{7-}{x-} turn with {A-}{J-} only to see the German look him up with the {A-}{7-}. The river bricked and Hengen headed to the payout desk.

Rens Feenstra was short and pushed all in from the cutoff with {A-Spades}{8-Spades}, Thomas Lutz one seat over called with {3-}{3-} and found another three on the flop. Feenstra hit both of his over cards but that still wasn't good enough to beat the set of Lutz.

Last but not least, Chad Eveslage pushed all in for 115,000 from the button after a player in the cutoff had raised to 13,000. Yaron Malki called in the small blind and that got the initial raiser to fold.

Eveslage: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Malki: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

The {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{K-Clubs} flop provided one of the two necessary over cards to score the knockout and Eveslage failed to improve on the {2-Hearts} turn and the {10-Clubs} river.

Lichtenberger Gets There

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante

Andrew Lichtenberger opened the action with a raise to 13,000 and both the players in the blinds made the call including Kitty Kuo in the small blind. The flop came {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Kuo and the small blind checked to Lichtenberger who made a continuation bet that was only called by Kuo. The turn was the {2-Clubs} and Kuo check-called a 38,000 chip bet from Lichtenberger. The river was the {K-Clubs} and Kuo again checked. After thirty seconds or so in thought, Lichtenberger did the same.

"Two pair," said Kuo, expecting that to be good enough to win the pot as she turned over pocket eights for eights and twos. Lichtenberger, however, had hit the river with his {K-Spades}{J-Hearts} and his two pair kings and twos won the pot.

Nguyen benefits from Isolation

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante

After a raise and a call for 15,000, Steve Nguyen moved all in for 54,500 and the original raiser announced all in himself with a stack of about 200,000 in chips. The cold caller elected to fold and the isolator showed {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Nguyen had that beat with {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and also stayed ahead on the {3-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{J-Spades}{K-Spades} board.

Four Out Within Minutes

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Kevin Brewer, Mack Hill, Thila Narayanan and Chi Do were eliminated within a matter of minutes once the bubble burst. Chi Do moved all in from the button for what looked like 60,000 with {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} and got called by chip leader Brian Hastings in the big blind with {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{9-Spades} and Hastings will likely be our first player above one million.

In the Money Chip Counts

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Ron Carrocio has rebounded from his tough middle of the day run and how has 450,000 in chips. Other in the money stacks follow:

Shortest Bubble Ever

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

We went down from 66 players to 63 within a matter of five minutes and there was not even any hand for hand play. A short stack had moved all in for 21,000 and both players in the blinds called.

On a {K-}{J-}{4-} flop, the player in the small blind led and scared off the player in the big blind and faced {A-}{8-} of the player at risk. His {Q-}{J-} would let the bubble burst though after neither turn nor river improved the hand of the short stack.

Hengen Doubles close to the Bubble

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Jorn Walthaus raised to 12,000 and then reluctantly called the all in of David Hengen for 75,000 with {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Hengen was ahead with the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} but had a sweat after the {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} turn. The {K-Clubs} river completed the board and Hengen doubled up.

Spears Four Bet Takes It Down

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Andy Spears opened the action for 13,000 and the player on the button made it 27,500 to go. It was folded back to Spears who four-bet to 69,000. The player on the button thought for approximately 30 seconds and let his hand go. Spears, who has had two deep runs at the WSOP this year, is looking to make his summer an even better one with a final table or better appearance here.
