Oliveira Takes Down Welch

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Ryan Welch was all in for about 25,000 from the button with {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} and was racing with chip leader Pedro Oliveira's {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} in the hijack.

The board ran out {2-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, no help to Welch, securing the pot for Oliveira.

McBrayer Busts Dentale with Kings Against Queens

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

From under the gun, BJ McBrayer opened with a raise to 2,300. Nick Maimone called from the next seat, Ravi Raghavan called from the cutoff seat, and then Mike Dentale reraised to 10,000 from the big blind. McBrayer reraised to 28,000, Maimone and Raghavan folded, and then Dentale moved all in for around 55,000-60,000. McBrayer quickly called with the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}, and he had the {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} for Dentale in a world of hurt.

The {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} board kept McBrayer's kings in front, and he knocked out Dentale to move to 165,000 in chips.

Wheeling and Dealing

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Jason Wheeler
Jason Wheeler

"A lot has happened since you were last here," Jason Wheeler said with a big smile when we enquired about the fate of the player that was on his left earlier, Didier Guerin.

"That was quite hand," a player at the table said, before Wheeler explained what happened.

After a raise to 2,000 it was Wheeler who three-bet to 4,200 and Guerin moved all in for 12,000. The action folded back to the initial raiser who moved all in, which made Wheeler call off his remaining 38,000.

Wheeler: {A-}{A-}
Guerin: {9-}{9-}
Opponent: {J-}{J-}

The flop brought {Q-}{9-}{4-} and Guerin jumped out in front, but the turn was the {A-} to give Wheeler a higher set. On the river a {10-} hit and Wheeler knocked Guerin out while doubling through the third player.

Right now Wheeler sits on 93,000 chips, and shares a table with defending champion Simon Deadman, who's currently on his third bullet.

Greer Takes One Against Gruneberg

Level 9 : 400/800, 75 ante

Zach Gruneberg raised to 1,800 on the button, Garrett Greer three-bet to 5,400 from the small blind and Gruneberg called.

The flop came down {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Greer continued for 5,100. Gruneberg called to see the {Q-Spades} turn where Greer bet 2,100. Gruneberg called, the {10-Spades} river completed the board and both players checked.

Gruneberg tabled {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, but was bested by Greer's {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

Taylor-Brady Flops a Flush and Gets Paid

Level 9 : 400/800, 75 ante
Esther Taylor-Brady
Esther Taylor-Brady

From the cutoff seat, RJ Sullivan raised to 2,000. Ross Bybee called from the small blind, and Esther Taylor-Brady called from the big blind.

The {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} flop was checked by all three players to see the {10-Hearts} pair the board on the turn. After Bybee checked, Taylor-Brady bet 3,600. Sullivan called, and then Bybee folded.

The river was the {2-Hearts}, and Taylor-Brady fired 11,100. Sullivan made the call, but mucked his hand when he saw that Taylor-Brady flopped a flush with the {J-Spades}{6-Spades}.

With that pot, Taylor-Brady has moved up to 175,000 in chips.
