Pupillo Finishes Gaspard

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

After an early open to 1,100 and a three-bet to 2,200 by Prince Gaspard, followed by a call, Nick Pupillo made it 9,700 on the button. Action folded back to Gaspard, who smiled and put his stack of 9,900 in.

"It's only fair that I play this last hand with you," he declared as the last player folded. "I've got my favorite hand in the world."

Prince Gaspard: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Nick Pupillo: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

"Whoa," Gaspard said with a laugh as the {q-Diamonds} was in the window, followed by {2-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and then {3-Clubs} and {2-Spades} to complete the board.

Nick Pupillo got in his last 20,000 or so with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} preflop but was smashed by the {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} of Prince Gaspard. The {9-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop gave Pupillo the flush draw he needed to have some hope but Gaspard remained unfazed.

"We fading it," he announced to his friend who was sweating as the {8-Spades} fell.

Unfortunately for the bracelet winner, a {4-Clubs} river completed Pupillo's flush draw.

McGowan Doubles Through Hergott

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

There was {a-}{6-}{q-}{2-}{9-} on the felt when David McGowan put in his last 2,900 into a pot of about 8,500. Josh Hergott thought a bit and slapped down a call from the button but he couldn't beat {a-}{2-} for two pair. The dealer turned over Hergott's {j-}{j-}.

Ruslan Sladkov opened for 700 in the hijack and Greg Baird made it 3,500 in the small blind. Sladkov peeled and {9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} flopped. Baird bet 4,000 and Sladkov called. On the {5-Hearts} turn, Baird checked and Sladkov bet 8,500. Baird ripped all in for about 33,000 and Sladkov let it go.

Puccio Survives

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

On a {7-Spades}{a-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop, Mike Puccio checked from the big blind and an early player bet 3,300 in a three-way pot. One player folded and then Puccio called off for slightly less.

The {10-Clubs} was a brick but the {9-Diamonds} river completed Puccio's straight.

On a completed board of {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, Gerald Siemienas bet 4,000 from early position and Mike Puccio was in there with a quick call on his left. Siemienas flipped over {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for quads.

The next hand, Puccio lost again when his aces up got four-flushed by Daniel Sepiol's pocket nines and he's now down under 8,000 as players head to their first break.
