Sick Double for Zverkhovskyy

Level 23 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Artem Zverkhovskyy got it in preflop for about 1 million holding {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and was at risk against the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} held by Bret Martin.

"I'm rooting for a chop," Martin announced despite his lead.

The {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} flop had him really hoping to chop, but a {4-Diamonds} turn left him doomed to send a double over.

Level 23 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Nick Davidson
Nick Davidson

Chris Moon opened in the cutoff for 50,000 and Nick Davidson shoved on the button for 300,000. Moon quickly called with {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and Davidson had {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. The {2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{a-Spades} board was of no use to Davidson and hit the rail just before Taylor Firebaugh busted at the other table.

Kalpesh Shah Eliminated in 14th Place ($9,399); Taylor Firebaugh Eliminated in 12th Place ($12,586)

Level 23 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Taylor Firebaugh
Taylor Firebaugh

On a flop of {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}, Kalpesh Shah shoved in the small blind for about 200,000. From under the gun, Taylor Firebaugh announced he was all in for what looked like 1,140,000. Craig Casino was in middle position and called it off.

Craig Casino: {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Kalpesh Shah: {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Taylor Firebaugh: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

It was a dream spot for Casino and the {7-Clubs} and {3-Hearts} kept his straight best. He was barely covered by Firebaugh, who had 40,000 left and busted the next hand.

Alan Krockey
Alan Krockey

Alan Krockey got his remaining chips, about 300,000, in blind versus blind with {6-}{5-} suited but couldn't overcome the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} of Billy Wolfe as he flopped a pair of aces.

Level 23 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Nick Pupillo
Nick Pupillo

Nick Pupillo and Mike O'Neill had the cards on their backs with Pupillo holding {a-}{k-} and crushed by {a-}{a-}. The flop, turn and river brought no help for Pupillo and stacks were close. O'Neill had about 1.1 million which barely covered Pupillo.

Rob Wazwaz Eliminated in 17th Place ($7,192)

Level 23 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Rob Wazwaz
Rob Wazwaz

Rob Wazwaz got his remaining chips in preflop with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} against the {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} of Bryant Miller. The {7-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop was a great one for Wazwaz, but he had a bit of a sweat after the {8-Spades} turn. A {9-Hearts} river gave Miller a straight that Wazwaz didn't see at first, leaving him lamenting his poor luck.

Mark Morris Eliminated in 18th Place ($7,192)

Level 23 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Mark Morris
Mark Morris

At least three players saw a {7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop and Chris Moon bet 125,000 from under the gun. Mark Morris called from middle position and they were heads up to the {5-Hearts} turn. Moon checked and Morris bet 225,000. Moon moved all in and Morris tanked awhile. Eventually, he called for his last 715,000.

Mark Morris: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Chris Moon: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

Moon had a monster lead and the {j-Diamonds} river was a brick.

Moon has rocketed past his competitors for a huge lead.

Two More Dubs

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Nick Davidson moved in on the button for 145,000 with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and was at risk against Dennis Ng and his {a-}{q-}. The board ran out dead for Ng and he sent over a double.

At the other table, Rob Wazwaz was all in with {a-Clubs}{8-Spades} but couldn't overcome the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} of shorter-stacked Taylor Firebaugh, who flopped a pair on {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Spades} and held. Wazwaz sent 300,000 and was left with 180,000.

A Double Serving of Doubles

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Mark Morris opened and then called a shove from Paul Elfelt, who had 420,000 in the big blind and turned over {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. Morris had {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and was left wanting on the {7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{j-Clubs} board.

On the other table, Taylor Firebaugh's kings did not fare so well. Kalpesh Shah ripped in front of him for 230,000 and Firebaugh woke up with {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} a couple of seats over. Shah had {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and turned Firebaugh dead as {7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} hit the felt.
