Zou Loves the Dealer, Takes Down Pot

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

After a limp, a player raised to 1,500. Three players behind called, including Henry Zou in the big blind, and the limper joined the party to take action five ways to the flop. All five players checked the {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop, and the {j-Diamonds} came on the turn. Three players checked before a 1,500 chip bet was fired, and everybody called. With five players still in, the dealer revealed the {9-Diamonds} river. The small blind checked and Zou bet 6,000.

Action folded back to the small blind, and Zou tabled {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for the rivered flush, while his opponent proceeded with his fold, turning his cards over to display {9-}{9-} while stating he never planned to call. After the pot, Zou addressed the dealer and told him that he loved her.

Campbell Wins One, Loses One

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

A player in middle position opened for 1,100 and Andrew Campbell three-bet to 3,300 from the hijack. The middle player called and {2-Clubs}{q-Spades}{k-Hearts} flopped. Campbell won with a continuation-bet of 3,600.

A few hands later, a player under the gun bet 4,000, just under the pot, on {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. Campbell continued, with a third player folding, and both checked the {a-Clubs}. The river was the {6-Hearts} and the first player bet 7,500. Campbell thought about a minute and announced a call but lost showdown to {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the nut flush.

Banhidy Chipping Up

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

With around 8,500 in the pot on a four-way flop reading {j-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{5-Clubs}, action was checked to Penny Banhidy in middle position who fired 2,500 into the pot. She received one call from a player in position and the two players went to the turn. The {4-Hearts} was flipped over and Banhidy bet 5,000. She was again called, bringing the {a-Clubs} river. Banhidy took a few seconds before checking, and the player in position also checked after some deliberation.

Banhidy tabled {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a pair of kings, which was confirmed to be the winning hand as the other player pitched his cards into the muck.

Berman Wins on River

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

A player raised from middle position to 900 and was called by four players, including David Berman in the big blind. The flop came {6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and there were four checks to the player on the button, who bet 3,500. Berman was the only caller, and the two proceeded to the turn heads up. The dealer turned over the {6-Spades} on the turn and both players checked. The river came {q-Spades} bringing two pair to the board, and Berman bet 8,500, which was enough to get a fold and take down the pot.

Rubinberg Takes Down Seven-Way Pot

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

A pot was limped by five players, and the small blind completed. Andy Rubinberg verbally counted the number of people with chips in the pot, ultimately reaching a total of seven. There was a little banter about his ability to count, with some of the table impressed and others less enthused. The flop came {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and the small blind bet 1,000. Rubinberg called, and the five remaining players folded. On the {5-Spades} turn, the small blind checked. Rubinberg bet 2,000 and got a fold, taking in the pot with a small smile.

Pupillo Bleeding Chips Early

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Five players saw the turn with {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts} on the felt and the big blind bet 3,000 into 5,400. Nick Pupillo called in middle position, as did a player on the button, with the other two folding. Everyone checked the {8-Spades} and the big blind opened {q-}{10-} to take it down, with the small blind lamenting that he folded a small flush.

A few hands later, Pupillo was in early position and bet 2,400 on {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Joey Zahn called in middle position and a third player came along on the button. Everyone checked the {4-Diamonds} river and Zahn showed {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for a flush.

Pupillo shook his head repeatedly and followed the player on the button into the muck.
