Mikey Esquivel's roller coaster of an afternoon continues, as he now finds himself at around 54,000. We caught up with him and he revealed that he had chipped up on a hand where he raised from early position with and received two calls from players in position behind him. The flop was with two diamonds, and Esquivel fired a continuation-bet of 1,200. Both players called, bringing a on the turn. Esquivel checked, and the next player to act bet 3,000. The third player called, as did Esquivel, and all three players saw the river. Esquivel and the player after him checked, and the third player bet 4,800. Esquivel thought about it and made the call, while the other player folded.
The third player tabled for ace high, and Esquivel's two pair, sixes and fours, were good.
While catching up with him, he then raised a hand to 1,200 from under the gun and received a call from the player on the button. A player in the big blind went all in for 1,400, which Esquivel and the player on the button both called. The flop was and both players competing for the side pot checked. The turn brought an and Esquivel fired 2,500 into the pot. His opponent folded, and Esquivel and the big blind flipped over their hands.

John Brock was all in for 22,300, about the size of the pot, on the button. The board read and a player in the small blind was tanking with a third player behind still to act. The small blind called after awhile and the third player mucked.
Someone predicted set over set, but it was Brock's against for top pair and a flush draw. The river was the , improving Brock's opponent but not enough to overtake the set.

Action was on the button on Marcus Gaunt after the river with a board reading . There was about 18,000 in the pot and his opponent in the cutoff was all in for 20,500. Gaunt had about 24,000 in his stack and was deliberating for about two minutes. Eventually, he put in the call.
His opponent said he had two pair, and turned over . Much to Gaunt's satisfaction, he tabled for a higher two pair to secure the elimination and win the pot.
