Levy Wakes Up With Aces at the Right Time

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
David Levy
David Levy

Will Berry went all in from early position for his remaining chips and saw Aaron Frei go all in from the button for a bit more. David Levy was in the small blind and gave them both action.

Aaron Frei: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Will Berry: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
David Levy: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

Levy was in need of sweating an alleged two outs as somebody said they folded {q-}{7-}. The board ran out {2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and Levy scored the double knockout, bringing him over 1.3 million along the way.

Meanwhile, Slater Dean was also eliminated at an adjacent table, bringing the number of players left in the tournament down to 20.

Leitch Toasted, Jennings Doubles Through Berry

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Brian Leitch
Brian Leitch

Brian Leitch went all in for 104,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Jeff Banghart, who announced a call from the cutoff. All remaining players folded and the two were off to the races.

Brian Leitch: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Jeff Banghart: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

"I'll give you a one-time offer to trade hands, right now," joked Banghart as the two awaited the runout. It came {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, leaving Leitch unimproved by the river to eliminate him from the tournament.

While the hand was occurring, Greg Jennings was in the process of doubling up at the expense of Will Berry, leaving Berry short as Jennings earned a much-needed double.

Sanoubane Eliminated by Campbell

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Bobby Sanoubane
Bobby Sanoubane

Bobby Sanoubane saw action folded to him on the button and went all in. He was called by Michael Campbell out of the big blind.

Bobby Sanoubane: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Michael Campbell: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{j-Hearts} to give Sanoubane a pair of jacks, putting him out in front. However, Campbell had outs to a flush in addition to the three kings to give him a higher pair. The turn came {k-Diamonds} to give Campbell a pair of kings and the river fell {6-Hearts} to improve him even further to a flush, sending Sanoubane to the rail in 25th place.

McVeigh Gets Three Streets of Value

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jay McVeigh had raised from the hijack and been called by Slater Dean on the button and Andreas Ramadanis out of the big blind. The flop came {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{k-Clubs} and Ramadanis checked to McVeigh, who made a continuation-bet of 30,000. Dean called and Ramadanis folded.

The turn was {10-Diamonds} and McVeigh continued, firing out another 60,000. Dean called. The river fell {2-Diamonds} and McVeigh emptied the clip, firing a third barrel of 75,000. Dean went into the tank for a minute or so before calling.

McVeigh tabled {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for a pair of kings with a queen kicker and Dean mucked, resulting in the pot being sent McVeigh's way.
