Kloeckner Runs Into Rockets

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Kyle Kloeckner got his last 60,000 in preflop from middle position and was at risk against Nikolas Martinez next to act.

Kyle Kloeckner: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Nikolas Martinez: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Kloeckner's day came to a close as a {q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} board failed to provide any help.

Day 1a Chip Leader Henrichs Loses a Chunk

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

With around 85,000 up for grabs on a {7-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts} runout, Joshua Henrichs checked the cutoff to Daniel Sepiol on the button. Sepiol put out a nearly pot-sized bet of 80,000.

Henrichs stared Sepiol down for a couple of minutes before rubbing his face and mucking.

A Fiddle and a Fold

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Only the blinds remained in a limped pot of {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Daniel Sepiol checked the small blind, and Chris Moon threw out 3,000 in the big. Sepiol called.

Sepiol very quickly check-called again for 9,000 on the {3-Spades} turn, which added a flush draw to the paired board.

The {5-Diamonds} fell on the river, putting four to a straight, and Sepiol checked it over to Moon, who fired 13,500. Sepiol looked frustrated and surprised, checking his cards a final time. He picked up the 1k chip protecting his hand and fiddled with it for a minute before ultimately folding.

Shin Finds Aces Again

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Zack Estes had his last 60,000 in preflop from the cutoff, and was in bad shape against Mike Shin in middle position.

Zack Estes: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Mike Shin: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

Estes picked up a few more outs on the {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop, but improved no further on the {8-Hearts} turn or {10-Diamonds} river to bust.

Three-Bettor Gives Up

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Matt Higgins opened to 6,000 in late position, and the hijack called next to act. It folded to the small blind, the table's chip leader sitting at around 370,000, who three-bet to 18,000. Higgins called, and the hijack threw it away.

The dealer spread {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, and action went check-check.

The three-bettor checked again on the {5-Hearts} turn, and Higgins tossed in a 25k chip that went unmatched.

Kinder Gets a Double Through Martinez; Updated Chip Counts From Table 46

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Kyle Kinder checked a {q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop from the big blind, and Nikolas Martinez bet 9,500 from middle position. Kinder check-raised to 19,000, then snapped off his last 55,500 when Martinez three-bet shoved.

Kyle Kinder: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Nikolas Martinez: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

Kinder's top pair held up for a double on the {4-Clubs} turn and {9-Clubs} river.

Big Slick for the Double

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Nate Gibbs jammed his last 19,500 preflop from late position and was called only by Freddy Williams next to act.

Nate Gibbs: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Freddy Williams: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{j-Spades}, flopping top pair/top kicker for Gibbs and rivering a gratuitous nut flush.

Updated Chip Counts From Table 45

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Apter Felts King

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Brett Apter jammed for 34,000 from the hijack, and Larry King called off his last 18,000 in the big blind.

Larry King: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Brett Apter: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

What looked like a potential chop went heavily in Apter's favor after the {j-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop gave him a flush draw, and he drilled the {j-Clubs} turn to leave King dead to the {2-Spades} river.
