Nate Stumpf Eliminated in 14th Place ($11,307)

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Nate Stumpf
Nate Stumpf

Nate Stumpf jammed for 139,000 on the button, and James Burns looked down at one card in the big blind.

"Wow!" Burns said. Upon looking at the second, he immediately called.

Nate Stumpf: {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
James Burns: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

Burns flopped top two pair on the {10-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, but Stumpf stayed alive with the {4-Clubs} on the turn, leaving him two outs to survive.

"Gotta sweat!" Burns told Stumpf, who replied with, "Yeah, a real sweat," with a sigh.

The {k-Clubs} river was no help to Stumpf, and he headed to the payout desk.

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Donald Shaver
Donald Shaver

Paul Bianchi opened to 27,000 in the hijack, and Donald Shaver bumped it up to 75,000 from the cutoff.

Action folded back to Bianchi, who four-bet to 227,000. Shaver quickly raised all in, and Bianchi instantly called.

Donald Shaver: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Paul Bianchi: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

"Classic," said Shaver, as the table awaited a flop. The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, and big slick fell to a big pair yet again on Day 2.

Stacks were close. "He's got me covered by like, thirty grand," said Shaver as the dealer double counted the chips, and Bianchi was indeed ahead by just a few blinds. Shaver smiled as he got up to leave. "Alright. Good playing with you, guys."

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
David Wasson
David Wasson

David Wasson jammed for 133,000 from under the gun, and Freddy Williams three-bet to 330,000 next to act. Action folded to John Michalak in the big blind.

"Wow," Michalak muttered, before folding {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} face-up after just a few moments.

David Wasson: {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Freddy Williams: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Wasson bricked the {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop, but picked up a gutshot on the {5-Hearts} turn. The {10-Clubs} river was no help, and Wasson hit the rail.

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Burns checked again on the {5-Spades} river, and Patel bet 105,000. Burns thought for a minute before calling, only to muck after Patel tabled {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

Izadi Sniffs Out the Bluff

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Hamid Izadi opened to 23,000 from late position and was three-bet to 55,000 by John Michalak next to act. Everyone else folded, and Izadi called.

The dealer spread {6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{j-Diamonds} on the flop, and Michalak continued for a slight downbet of 50,000 when checked to. Izadi called again.

Izadi checked the {q-Clubs} turn over to Michalak, who fired again, this time for 100,000. Izadi held on for a river.

The board's highest card changed again on the {a-Spades} river, and Izadi checked. Michalak fired 200,000, and Izadi sat motionless as he thought it over, eventually deciding on a call.

Michalak rolled over {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}, which flopped better, but Izadi's {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} took down the pot after the turn provided him a higher pair.

Brent Barfield: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Stephen Song: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
