Change of Plans; Dinner Break

Level 21 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The tournament directors have announced that the players are being sent on a 40-minute dinner break, with the action resuming around 9:25 p.m. local time.

The plan after the dinner break is to play down to 24 players or the end of Level 24, whichever comes first.

Jobin Catches Noonan

Level 21 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
James Noonan
James Noonan

Yannick Jobin raised to 32,000 under the gun and called when James Noonan put in a min-raise to 48,000 from the cutoff.

Jobin check-called bets of 65,000 on the 69J flop and 150,000 on the Q turn before Noonan sized down to 125,000 on the 9 river.

This time, Jobin check-jammed, covering the 425,000 of Noonan. Noonan snap-folded, leaving himself with less than 20 big blinds.

Wolters and Noonan Misclick to Min-Clicks

Level 21 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

James Noonan in the big blind and Carlo Wolters in the hijack were heads-up on a flop of 10A9. Wolters put in the minimum bet of 16,000, after which Noonan announced a raise to 5,000.

As the raise was not a valid amount, Noonan was forced to put in a raise to 32,000 instead. Wolters then announced a three-bet to 42,000, which was also invalid, and was ruled as a raise to 48,000 instead.

Noonan quickly let his hand go as the table briefly discussed the alleged frequent misclicks of Noonan.

Clarke Blufss Ninh, Shows Table

Level 21 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Catching the action on a completed board of Q653J, Hiep Ninh fired a bet of 140,000 into a pot of 325,000 from the big blind. Patrick Clarke then raised to 425,000, sending Ninh deep into the tank.

"Do you beat a queen?" Ninh eventually asked.

"You only have a queen?" Clarke asked in surprise, to which Ninh nodded his head.

After some more time, the clock was called on Ninh. Nearing the end of his countdown, he added his cards to the muck as he forfeited the pot.

A grin appeared on Clarke's face as he tabled K7 for just king-high before raking in the big pot.

Santtu Leinonen pushed in his stack of 234,000 from the small blind and was called by Stephen Freeman in the big blind.

Santtu Leinonen: A8 All in
Stephen Freeman: 96

Freeman flopped two pair on 10106 to take the lead. The 3 turn and J river could not save Leinonen, who took his exit just before the table broke.
