Button Philip Joyce had opened preflop, with Terrance Reid defending his big blind. Reid then check-called Joyce's bet of 150,000 on the Q♣A♥10♥ flop before the 9♣ hit the turn.

Joyce continued for 325,000, but this time, Reid check-raised to 800,000. Joyce stuck in a call after some thought, leading to the J♥ river.

Reid slowed down and checked before he called the small bet of 275,000 that Joyce put out. Reid showed J♦8♦ for a straight to the queen, but Joyce had rivered Broadway with his K♦K♣ and was shipped the pot.
