Ferrari Scores Another Knockout to End Night Among Leaders
Level 25
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Picking up the action on the J♣5♦Q♠9♠ turn with around 1,000,000 in the middle, Manuel Ferrari moved all in under the gun, covering Luke Porter's stack of 1,000,000 in the big blind.
Porter took a few minutes to think things through before tossing in a calling chip for his tournament life.
Luke Porter: K♦Q♦
Manuel Ferrari: J♠J♥
Ferrari's set remained best on the 2♥ river, and Porter exited with just a few hands left to play on Day 2. Ferrari was sent the huge pot and stacked up a stack worth more than two and a half times the average.
