Robinson Sets Trap and Secures Double Up

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Lukas Robinson
Lukas Robinson

Olivier Lattrez opened from early position and PokerNews Ambassador Lukas Robinson called on the button. Action folded to Aidan Redden in the small blind who produced a three-bet jam for 268,000.

Lattrez got out of the way and Robinson called, with Robinson at risk.

Lukas Robinson: AA
Aidan Redden: QQ

Robinson had set the trap by flatting pocket aces preflop and it had worked perfectly as Redden woke up with a monster hand behind.

The runout of 9J9410 did not assist Redden and he was left with crumbs as Robinson secured a timely double up.

Redden actually thought he had busted and had walked away from the table before being called back by his tablemates.

Kehoe Gets Paid Massively

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Stephen Kehoe and Kyle Rafferty were heads up on a flop of 976. Kehoe checked from the small blind and Rafferty added 38,000 chips to the 42,000 pot from under the gun. Kehoe then raised to 100,000, and Rafferty called after a long tank.

The 10 turn then was put on the felt and Rafferty check-called a smaller 42,000 bet from Kehoe. On the subsequent J river, Rafferty checked again and this time Kehoe put forth 123,000 chips, most of his stack.

Rafferty assembled the required chips and put them in for a call. Kehoe showed 108 for a flopped straight, and Rafferty's cards hit the muck, accompanied by an expletive from his mouth.
