It must be nice being Jose Barbero. You four-bet shove for 731,000 into the chipleader with
get called by Chris Conrad's
and bink an eight ono the river for a 1.5m pot. The

flop had put Conrad in a controlling position and looked likely to chip up to over 2m for a huge lead going into the final straight. A punishing
turn and river changed everything. Barbero has taken the chiplead and Conrad, who has received some vicious beats these last few days, is back to grinding.

Jose de la Guardia opened under the gun for 62,000 and was swiftly three-bet by crowd favourite Erick Cabrera to 130,000. De la Guardia studied his opponent and then made an ill-fated shove for 600,000 which Cabrera insta-called.

Valerio Valera had let himself get blinded away to 83,000 when he pushed from UTG. The action folded around to Ben Barrows in the bif blind who called with
. Valera had only woken up with
and the board ran

. Valera will now take his newly doubled stack to the feature table to help balance the tables.
LAPT Playa Conchal winner Amer Sulaiman is out in a monster 1.3m pot against Chris Conrad. Sulaiman held
to Conrad's
and the flop brought a huge

hit for Conrad leaving Sulaiman drawing very thin. A
settled it and Conrad, aka King Suckout on PokerStars, is driving a large stack towards the final table.
Jose Barbero is in still in though so the possibility of having our first double LAPT winner is still alive. Barbero won the last LAPT - it's been an incredible achievement for him to reach just this far.
Nicasio Toranzo is one of the tournament short stacks and he's moving his chips across the line freely. A 210,000 all-in picks up the blinds and antes and with a little extra ballast he moves all-in a couple of hands later over Danny Manriques' min-raise open. Toranzo has chipped back up to just over 300,000 but at these punishing levels it still doesn't give much breathing space.
Ben Barrows has taken another small chuck out of Jose "Pepa" de la Guardia's stack. Barrows raised to 56,000 from the HJ and De la Guardia called from the SB. The action was folded down to the river where the board read

. It was at this juncture that Barrows decided to bet (86,000) when checked to him for a third time. De la Guardia called but mucked upon seeing Barrows'
