A Tough Start for Bauer
Joao Bauer is getting a bit bloodied to start Day 3. First, he doubled up Rodrigo Portaleoni by calling Portaleoni's all in on the turn drawing completely dead. Bauer had raised pre-flop to 25,000, with Portaleoni calling from the big blind to a flop of

. Portaleoni check-raised Bauer from 24,000 to 58,000. Bauer called that raise, then tank-called another 155,000 all in on the
turn. Portaleoni showed
, a flopped two pair, leaving Bauer's
stone dead.
A hand later, Portaleoni opened a pot to 28,000 and was called by Amos Ben Haim on the button. Bauer three-bet out of the small blind to 81,000 and was called only by Ben Haim. On a king-high flop of

, Bauer tried a bet of 95,000. Almost as soon as it was in the middle Ben Haim announced that he was all in for 622,000 total. Bauer had that amount covered but the bet gave him pause. After about a minute he mucked.
