Welcome to Day 2 of PokerNews' coverage of the PokerStars.net LAPT Chile. The Enjoy Casino & Resort in Vina del Mar, Chile is host to the opening event of Season 5 and it has not disappointed.
Day 1a drew 284 players and combined with 367 on Day 1b, the total field of 651 eclipsed last year's total of 621 to create the second largest LAPT event in the tour's history. Following ten levels of play, Joao Lopes commands the biggest stack in the room of the 188 players remaining as the only player above the 200k mark with 207,700.
The plan today is to play ten levels or until 24 players remain, whichever comes first. Keep it here throughout the day for updates on all of the action as it takes place. Play kicks off at noon local time, about 35 minutes from now, so we'll see you at the top of the hour.
