Zappala Zapped Away

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Gabriele Zappala was all-in for just over 7,000 and at risk as he was called by Ondrej Jakubcik.

Gabriele Zappala: {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Ondrej Jakubcik: {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The flop came {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for them both flop a pair but put Jakubcik ahead with the pair of kings.

The rest of the board was completed with the {5-Spades} on the turn and the {q-Diamonds} on the river to not change the situation as Zappala was eliminated.

Dempsey More Than Doubles

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Serdar Demircan raised to 2,000 from the cutoff and was called by Ondrej Jakubcik in the small blind. Shane Dempsey three-bet to 8,000 from the big blind and both Demircan and Jakubcik made the call.

The flop came {8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, Jakubcik checked, Dempsey continued with a bet of 8,000. Demircan shoved for 22,800 and Jakubcik considered his options before deciding to shove with the biggest stack. Dempsey looked at his cards once more before deciding to call for the 25,400 he had in front of him to see all the cards go on their backs.

Serdar Demircan: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Shane Dempsey: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Ondrej Jakubcik: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Demircan held a pair of sevens, Dempsey had the overpair with the jacks, and Jakubcik had flopped top pair with the eights.

"Hold... hold... hold!" Dempsey was saying over and over while the {9-Diamonds} and the {q-Spades} were dealt to complete the board. Dempsey held on to his lead indeed to eliminate Demircan and get a full double through Jakubcik.

Worthington-Leese Gets a Penalty

Level 6 : 250/500, 50 ante

Hwee Hua Loh raised to 1,100 from the hijack and Janar Kokk called in the cutoff. Leo Worthington-Leese three-bet to 3,800 from the small blind and only Loh made the call.

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}, Worthington-Leese bet 2,700 and Loh called.

The turn came {9-Hearts}, Worthington-Leese fired another bet over the line, now for 7,100 and Loh called again.

The river completed the board with the {2-Spades}, Worthington-Leese barreled 28,000 over the line which was more than Loh had behind and Loh snap-called. Worthington-Leese flung his cards into the muck and that's when the commotion started (in Italian). The floor was called over as Worthington-Leese was supposed to show his cards as there was an all-in situation. As the hole cards weren't retrievable any more, they would remain in the muck. Loh had to show {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Worthington-Leese was given a 1-round penalty. Loh doubled up for the 21,150 he had behind.
