Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante
Pontus Magnusson
Pontus Magnusson

Pontus Magnusson raised to 700 from under the gun and was called by Michal Majtyka on the button and Antoine Degiorgio in the big blind.

The flop came {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Spades}, Degiorgio checked, Magnusson continued with a bet of 1,400 which both Majtyka and Degiorgio called.

They all checked through the {8-Spades} on the turn and the {3-Hearts} on the river. Degiorgio showed {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for the flopped pair of jacks, Magnusson tabled {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for the flopped set of jacks, and Majtyka had the pocket deuces for the lower flopped set of deuces.

Hougaard Halted by Chuprinskaia

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

The player in the under-the-gun position called, so did Nico Scheer in the early position, Reinhard Meusburger in mid-position, and the players in the lojack and hijack. Natalia Chuprinskaia in the cutoff raised to 2,000, and action folded to Jesper Hougaard in the big blind who contemplated for a while and then three-bet to 5,400. Action folded to Chuprinskaia who was considering her options.

"That's just scary!" she said and then laughed.

"I didn't mean to scare you, sorry," Hougaard replied.

"How much have you got left?" Chuprinskaia asked Hougaard.

"About thirty-five," Hougaard confirmed and then added: "I might still fold it if you shove."

Chuprinskaia smiled and then decided to put 12,000 over the line to put Hougaard all-in. Hougaard took a few seconds before making the call.

Jesper Hougaard: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Natalia Chuprinskaia: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for Chuprinskaia to hit the ace on the turn to send Hougaard away from the tables.

Hougaard can still reenter later today or on Day 1B or 1C so might be back.

Lappin Luckboxes a Big Stack

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

"Do you want to know how I luckboxed this stack?" Lappin said to the PokerNews live reporting team and he was kind enough to relate what had happened previously.

"Shayne Farquhar raised to 300 from the hijack with {j-}{j-}, I three-bet to 1,150 from the small blind with {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. He four-bets to 3,025 and I call. The flop came {j-}{9-}{4-} rainbow, I check-called the 2,000 bet. The turn was an {a-}, I check-call the 4,200 bet. The river was the {q-} to give me the straight, I shove, he doesn't snap-call but does do it in the end."
