Verdelet Squeezes Out Some Value

Level 11 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Remi Verdelet raised to 10,000 on the button, which only Nathan Nugent called, defending his big blind.

Nugent continued with a check-call on the 93Q flop, after Verdelet bet 6,000.

Both players checked the 4 turn, but when Nugent checked for a third time on the 9 river, Verdelet put out a bet of 22,000.

Nugent took his time in making a decision, ultimately choosing to call. It was bad news, though, as Verdelet turned over Q6, seeing Nugent muck his cards.

Petrov Doubles

Level 11 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Seeing a raise to 10,000 ahead of him, Veselin Petrov moved all in for 56,000 from middle position. A couple of seats to his left, Thomas Hoffman opted to move all in too, for 147,000.

The original raiser folded, and the cards were turned over.

Veselin Petrov: AK All in
Thomas Hoffman: 1010

The flop came out 7J9, giving Petrov plenty of hope, and he didn't have to wait long as the turn 3 saw him take an unassailable lead.

The river 7 was produced as a formality, and the pot was pushed to Petrov.
