Oulmekki Back to Starting Stack

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

In the last hand of the level, [Removed:215] raised and picked up four callers to a flop of {Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. Groppi's continuation bet worth 8,500 was just called by Selim Oulmekki from one seat over and the former big stack called as well on the {7-Diamonds} turn. The {6-Clubs} river slowed down Groppi and he checked before calling the shove of Oulmekki.

Groppi's {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} scored a big double, as Oulmekki only had the {5-}{6-} for an open-ended straight draw that made sixes and sevens on the river.

Da Silva Shoves into El Yousfi

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Picking up the action with a bet of 6,500 in front of Said El Yousfi on the button, it folded back to Rui Miguel da Silva who made it 18,500 from the cutoff. El Yousfi called and they headed to the flop {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The Portuguese continued for 12,200 and was called before shoving the {6-Clubs} turn.

El Yousfi was covered and eventually elected to fold a few minutes before the end of the level. Da Silva also claimed the next hand still after firing two barrels with {K-Hearts}{10-Spades} on a board of {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} before checking down he {9-Diamonds} river. His sole opponent mucked the {J-Clubs} and da Silva grabbed another.

Updated Counts

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Fahd called an all in against Dominique Terzian with two pair, at least as per table chat, and the latter showed a straight to claim the pot.

Ismail Oumghari also sent an opponent to the rail by shoving the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{K-Hearts} river with {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}. The player at risk ended up hero-calling with {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and busted as well.

Franco Busts Pecheux

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Erwann Pecheux
Erwann Pecheux

"I haven't had quads in seven months and now I have busted three players with quads here." Those were the words of Sonny Franco, who just sent table neighbor Erwann Pecheux to the rail. It turns out that Franco had raised to 1,900 from under the gun and picked up one caller. Pecheux then made it 6,000 from the big blind and Franco called with pocket fours.

On the {10-}{8-}{4-} flop with two diamonds, Pecheux checked as did Franco. On the {4-} turn, Pecheux check-called a bet worth 9,500 and then check-called all in for around 28,000 with pocket aces on the {6-Spades} river to see the bad news.

Yin Gone For Now

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

The former big stack of Cheng-Wei Yin has melted and he was just all in for the remainder of it with the {6-Spades}{3-Spades}. Peter Reil looked him up with {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and despite many outs for the Belgian, the board ran out blank with {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{A-Diamonds}.

A portion of Yin's stack had previously switched over to Romain Paon.

Houssam Busts Uyanik

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

With plenty of chips in the pot already until the {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs} turn, Mohamed Ali Houssam bet 10,000 and Suat Uyanik shoved for 30,000 chips on top of that. Houssam called with {A-Spades}{6-Spades} for the nut flush draw while Uyanik held {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. Sure enough the dealer burned and turned the {2-Spades} as final community card and that gave Houssam the big boost in chips.

Sgorrano "On Tilt"

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Fresh off paying Pont a mere 8,800 on the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{9-Spades} river and then mucking when his opponent showed {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} for a full house, Jerome Sgorrano faced four limps worth 600 chips each. Sgorrano moved all in and Dominique Terzian was the last to fold his {5-Clubs}.

Cheng-Wei Yin walked over and Sgorrano told him to reveal one of his cards. "This is the good one," Sgorrano joked and the {5-Diamonds} was revealed. The Belgian then flipped over the {K-Diamonds} also and Terzian showed his {K-Clubs} with both players "swapping" the hole cards to have Terzian "folding" pocket kings.
