Rozema Gets flushed

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Jonathan Rozema
Jonathan Rozema

Jonathan Rozema opened in the hijack and was called by Clyde Tjauw Foe in the big blind to see the flop of {7-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. Rozema was tempted to check behind but opted to bet small when it was checked to him and the Dutchman also called the small check-raise of his fellow countryman to see the {A-Spades} on the turn.

Tjauw Foe overbet the pot to push Rozema all in and the latter called off with {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}. He was slightly ahead of {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} but couldn't dodge the flush draw as the {4-Clubs} on the river sent him to the rail.

Meiri Gifted Aces versus Kings

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Aviv Meiri raised and then four-bet to 24,600 after Gianluca Speranza made it 14,600 with his three-bet. The Italian called to see the flop of {8-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {6-Clubs}. Meiri check-raised all in for 86,500 and Speranza called after already having invested 22,800 into the pot. Speranza turned over {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} but that hand was only second best to the {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} of Meiri. Neither the {3-Spades} turn nor the {Q-Hearts} river changed anything and the High Roller finalist doubled up.

Almani Cracks Votkin's Aces

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

The bet siting is unknown until the {7-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} turn, but Mohamed Almani was all in and at risk for 120,400 chips with {K-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} for top pair and a gutshot against the {A-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} of Aki Votkin. The Finn had do dodge any jack, queen or king and the {K-Hearts} river cost him more than 60% of his stack.

Steven van zadelhoff

The board came {Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and van Zadelhoff now has 210,000.

New Chip Leader

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

A huge pot for Dennis Lavrijssen, who just knocked out another big stack at his table. According to Marvin Rettenmaier, the two got into a big raising war with Lavrijssen holding {A-}{A-} against his opponent's {A-}{K-}. The board didn't change anything and the Dutchman is the first player over the half-million mark.

"It was no one-outer"

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Stuart Rutter just arrived at the table of Steven van Zadelhoff and told the story about the double elimination thanks to a one outer when he was asked where all the chips came from. Lauri Varonen had opened for the second hand in a row to 4,500 and van zadelhoff three-bet to 9,200. A short stack moved all in for 27,900 and Varonen folded, van Zadelhoff called.

It was the {A-Spades} {8-Spades} for the Dutchman with the beard and the {Q-Clubs} {9-Clubs} for his opponent. "I don't like this flop, but I am still ahead" van Zadelhoff joked to the dealer when he saw the {6-Spades} {10-Clubs} {J-Clubs} flop. The {9-Diamonds} turn improved the short stack but the {A-Hearts} on the river saw the best hand regain the lead and score the knockout.

"Come on, it wasn't a one outer," the Dutchman joked and raked in the pot.
