Since 1992 the Master Classics of Poker is taking place and calling the Holland Casino in Amsterdam its home. The highly popular destination in the heart of Europe always welcomes players from near and far, many well known pros of the international circuit will be back at the tables for Day 2 of the €10,000 High Roller Event also, led by Timothy Adams.
For the first time ever, the €4,000 + €250 LIDO Main Event comes with two starting days and Day 1a gets underway in half an hour from now at 14:00 local time. The casino is once again hosting one-hand satellites for the fortune hunters and another 30 players won their entry to the Main Event in a Satellite yesterday evening including Joep van den Bijgaart, WSOPE Berlin bracelet winner Makarios Avramidis, Omer Cubukcu and Zeus-Jan Post, Marcel "The Flying Dutchman" Luske bubbled and received €2,820.
All participants receive 30,000 in chips and the four-day tournament provides a progressive structure with levels of 60 minutes on Day 1, 75 minutes for Day 2 and the level duration then increases to 90 minutes for Day 3 and the final on Friday. A single reentry available until the start of Day 2 on Wednesday. Defending champion is Ruben Visser, who emerged victorious in a 298-entry strong field in 2014 after defeating 2011 champion David Boyaciyan for a payday of €225,000.
