Swings Start for Boeken

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Noah Boeken and his table neighbor check a pot of 12,000 on the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} turn and the {3-Clubs} came on the river. Boeken checked the small blind and then folded when he was confronted with a bet of 5,500.

The champion of 2013 was previously off to a good start and dropped just below starting stack again.

No Bonus for van Hoof

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Noah Boeken reraised from the cutoff and then called the squeeze to 3,000 by Jorryt van Hoof out of the small blind, the other player in the hand folded. Both players checked down the board {10-Clubs}{A-Spades}{9-Spades}{A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} entirely and van Hoof flipped over the {7-Spades}{2-Spades}. Boeken won the hand with the {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and then David Boyaciyan joked "bonus?".

The seven deuce game is fairly popular at the cash game tables, but not necessarily profitable in tournaments.

Salter Doesn't Fall for the Trap

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Louis Salter raised from early position and was called by three opponents including Noah Boeken on the button and Jorryt van Hoof in the big blind. On the {4-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop all four of them check and van Hoof was then the only to check-call a delayed continuation bet of the Brit for 1,000.

Both once again check the {A-Clubs} river and that was good for Salter, as he was shown {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} by van Hoof.

Zisimopoulos Says Thank You

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
Georgios Zisimopoulos
Georgios Zisimopoulos

Georgios Zisimopoulos raised to 400 from the hijack and the player on the button three-bet to 1,000, getting called by the big blind and the Freek. On the {6-}{4-}{3-} flop with one club, all three players check. The {K-Clubs} came on the turn and the player in the big blind checked. Zisimopoulos bet 800 and the player in the hijack then raised to 5,000, receiving calls from both opponents.

The {8-Clubs} on the river filled up the board and Zisimopoulos fired 14,000, snap-calling the shove of the opponent in the hijack with the {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the nut flush. He was gifted the stack by the opponent with {K-}{Q-} for just top pair.

Edit: It turned out to be René Pluijm, who had won the celebrity SNG earlier to get the Main Event ticket and usually is a chef cook.

Deinum Has no Reason to be not Upset

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Raoul Refos, a regular on the European Poker Tour for quite a few years, is among those to have taken their seat recently.

And then there is Foeke Deinum, who final-tabled the €1,500 reentry tournament and already boosted his stack at the end of level one after a set of threes got paid off.

The Defending Champion Folds the River

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

With the board reading {3-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, the player in the cutoff over on table 22 bet 2,500 for about half the pot. His opponent in the nine seat was no other than the defending champion Ruben Visser and the Dutchman eventually folded to give up the pot. It was no stellar start yet for Visser but there is plenty of time with "only" 180 big blinds.

At the same table is also Pascal Hartmann.
