Martin Finger raised from under the gun and found one caller in Govert Metaal out of the blinds. The Dutchman bet the flop for 1100 and Finger called before doing so again on the turn for 3,300. The river killed all betting action and the duo checked, Metaal showed for a flopped straight and flush on the last community card to win the pot.
One of the few players that won his entry through the one-hand SNG four-bet to 13,000 before calling all in for 35,000 chips with the . Andre van de Venne had put the German to the rest with the and the flop was already quite decisive.
It was all over after the turn, no sweat potential anymore. The meaningless on the river was just a formality and van de Venna jumped into the lead.
After a raise to 1,100 and the cold-call by Mateusz Moolhuizen, Johan "taartje" Verhagen squeezed to 3,000 out of the big blind and the initial raiser called, Moolhuizen folded in the small blind. The flop saw Verhagen waste little time before firing a continuation bet worth 4,000 and that shut down all further action.
The nickname "taartje" means little pie and he has many chips, too.
The tournament clock is stuck on 99 entries for Day 1a and the latest addition to the field was a player that had already been in there before. Noah Boeken lost the remainder of his short stack and then purchased the second bullet.
Louis Salter also busted and his seat is now occupied by Faraz Jaka.
After a raise to 1,100 by the player in under the gun, Vlado Banicevic flat-called in the cutoff. Jean Montury squeezed to 3,300 in the small blind and only Banicevic called. Both players checked the flop and Montury then bet the turn for 6,400. Banicevic called for almost half of his remaining stack to see the fall on the river.
Montury moved all in within a matter of seconds and his opponent from Montenegro folded.
Hossein Ensan just lost 17,000 chips, more than half of his stack, in a three-way hand after flopping a set. The river made for a four-card straight and Fatih Aydin as well as the player in seat two chopped the pot with a ten for the straight.
On the way back to the tables is also Faraz Jaka, who said he wants to have a day off tomorrow and thus entered straight away again.
Dennis Smit opened to 1,000 and found one caller in Noah Boeken to find a flop of . The continuation bet of Smit was answered with a raise to 8,000 by Boeken and Smit then got his last 13,300 in with the . Boeken called for most of his stack and had a straight draw on top of his two hearts, holding .
The turn and river filled up the board and the nut flush brought Smit back above starting stack.
Govert Metaal limped in the last hand of the outer table and Faraz Jaka then moved all in for 2,500 from the button. Kevin Killeen three-bet small and Metaal called to see both players check down the flop . Killeen then bet the turn for 2,500 which Metaal called before the Irishman checked the on the river.
Metaal bet big, making it 8,000, and Killeen said he then folded ace-king. "Show me ace-queen," Jaka joked over to Metaal but was greeted by the of his opponent. Jaka only held for an inferior pair of tens and was sent to the rail, though this may only be temporarily.
